Scrawling bomb threats on lavatory mirrors is not an appropriate means to express opposition to the potential CO/UA merger.

Looks like UAUA's strong 1Q results might be the final push over the edge for this merger.

I just looked at the book value of my car, and it's hovering around $5500 for private sale, so this isn't too bad. Assuming I don't have any other major repairs coming up, I'm going to try and get another 4+ years out of it. At some point, I'll have to trade up, because a 2-door and 2 small children doesn't work so well. My wife's car needs to be upgraded first - she's at least got a 4dr, but we're both driving compacts, and she's more often going to be carting the kids around.

You and I are somewhat in the same boat. My wife has a 4 door Civic and I have a Subaru wagon, oh.. and a 2 seat convertible. We only have one child... for now. Both cars are cramped w/ the car seat installed. We are going to go as long as we can w/ both cars.

this is weird: how can there be vast larger numbers of "available" seats than there are seats existing on an aircraft? The Saab340 from CLL-IAH has 34 seats. Available inventory on 5/15 is as follows:

CO 9581 CLL IAH 7:10 7:47 No Stops None Saab 340 Y9 B9 M9 H9 K0 Q9 U0 V9 G0 W9 E0 S9 T0 N9 L0 72 available
CO 9544 CLL IAH 8:55 9:35 No Stops None Saab 340 Y9 B9 M9 H9 K0 Q9 U0 V9 G0 W9 E0 S9 T0 N9 L0 72 available
CO 9502 CLL IAH 11:27 12:05 No Stops None Saab 340 Y8 B8 M8 H8 K0 Q8 U0 V8 G0 W8 E0 S8 T0 N8 L0 72 available
CO 9537 CLL IAH 14:10 14:50 No Stops None Saab 340 Y9 B9 M9 H9 K0 Q9 U0 V9 G0 W9 E0 S9 T0 N9 L0 81 available

what am I missing? I'm hoping for a bump that day, since all the new A&M grads' family members will be heading home....

You should not sum the fare buckets. All I can tell is that 9+ seats are available for sale on each flight, except CO 9502.

Good morning from San Francisco financial district.

My Crystal Ball says, "Better luck next time."

Maybe you'll get an EUA, unless the system is still broke. :D

ooohhhhhhhhhhh, so THAT'S how it works... I thought the numbers represented the number of available seats currently existing in each fare class

Airlines will only post 9 seats per fare bucket. This means that there are quite a number of seats available to buy. Once that number goes down to under 9 (In any fare bucket) that tells you seat inventory is getting very low. Seeing 0's across the board means the flight is pretty much sold out and perhaps overbooked.
