I ended up giving in and looked up reward tickets on CO because my wife was giving me sh!t and we found times that were within 2 hours of her original itinerary. We called her and told her what we found and she started b!tching about how if she did this she would have to leave her house at 6 am to catch the flight and some more b.s. Oh, I forgot to tell you what she gets me for my birthday....n:rolleyes:thing, not that I care or even want anything from her but come on!!!

After all this, Mothers day is coming up and I told my wife that if she wanted to get her mom something she could get a second job to pay for it. My mom will be getting a nice arrangement from FTD.com once I get my CO debit card. :p

We knew one of the FA's pretty well (we scored another bottle of wine from the crew ^). DYKWIA folks were mad that children were allowed in F (on a HNL-LAX flight). Said children were well behaved and parents were both EXP's on AA and had seats in F for said children. There was a shouting match on the plane before departure..

The DYKWIA folks rang the FA call button 6 times on the flight. One of the times, they just wanted to tell the purser that they would be complaining to corporate. Wow, there are many  folks out there.

Stories like that almost make me glad I don't get much time in the pointy end.

I've already famously done a spoken word video.

Apparently someone at AS/QX corporate communications likes one of my blog posts. I made it onto their internal company site based on referral traffic I'm seeing. Sadly I cannot actually see what they said about me in the link since it is an internal site.

Time to go to the gym for the first time in several weeks. This should be ugly...

That's not going help Hallmark with MIL card sales;) You certainly were very generous offering your orphaned miles. Sorry you are catching your good will on both ends:td:

Did you know LAX has its own theme song? It made it to #54 on the pop chart and #9 on the country chart in the USA back in the 70s.

I never knew about this. Sounds like I need to investigate further. I am at LAX now.

Flight status just changed from on time to 90 minute delay.

Local TV media is in front of 1600 Smith. All the local politicos had a big press conference, including the mayor. Apparently, she has Smisek's cell phone #. Essentially it sounds like they are willing to do a lot to keep CO HQ in Houston.

To this day I still like to know what the link from BRS internal site to one of my videos is all about.

Of course they are. Jobs + tax revenue.

As I said in my post in the  thread, where they locate the HQ is irrelevant to things like population base (although that conversation was especially mind-numbing and pointless) and is based entirely on incentives the "new" company can/will receive.

The location of the HQ will be rumored to move every time the tax incentives the municipality offered are set to sunset.

No E.O. wants to be caught "doing nothing" as their city loses a highly respected employer. More often than not, it's just for show.

Just wait til the deal goes thru if you want to see mind-numbing and pointless. I will be hunkering down in Teh Box for weeks on end at that point.

Fiancee says to go straight from work to her parents' house; they invited us for dinner. K...going on 25 minutes, no parents to be seen...and fiancee herself just got here. And to think that the last two days was training in instructional design and not in communicating effectively.

Watching the news about the Senate Roasting of Goldman execs. The people have a new punching bag. A ^ to NBC starting off by saying the grilling was done by people who can't be blameless for the mess themselves.
