Orbitz sent me an e-mail telling me there was a change to my LAX-LIM itinerary, only problem is, there is no change.

There's no way they really believe that themselves. They had an intern write that line after a producer said "Someone find out what the rest of America thinks."

Well, no, probably not that far out. :p

Aircraft change from a 73G to a 738 or something else useless like that??

Any SPG hotel recommendations in Houston? I'd like to avoid the aloft (boring) and the Westins and St. Regis (price). A property with good upgrade chances is a plus. :)

4P or Sheratons are the only other choices.

No, no aircraft changes... It's really strange.

In other news, it appears CM has updated their website to allow you to choose your seat before the flight. ^

Needless to say the ticket was around $800 but she kindly said if this is outside of what we had wanted to spend on her birthday gift she understood :mad::mad::mad: ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME :mad::mad::mad:. I ended up giving in and looked up reward tickets on CO because my wife was giving me sh!t and we found times that were within 2 hours of her original itinerary. We called her and told her what we found and she started b!tching about how if she did this she would have to leave her house at 6 am to catch the flight and some more b.s. Oh, I forgot to tell you what she gets me for my birthday....n:rolleyes:thing, not that I care or even want anything from her but come on!!! ETA: To be fair she does get my brother-in-law gifts but he's in seminary school.

After all this, Mothers day is coming up and I told my wife that if she wanted to get her mom something she could get a second job to pay for it. My mom will be getting a nice arrangement from FTD.com once I get my CO debit card. :p

 perhaps you should post an entry HERE

Yeah, i saw that. I'm leaning towards the Sheraton Brookhollow as they are the cheapest option and they have free parking. It was also semi-recently renovated. Some people complain about road noise, but I'm sure that won't be too bad wi the AC on...

I guess my other consideration is the Sheraton Suites by the Galleria but I don't really want to pay for parking.

I like Brookhollow. Almost guaranteed upgrade to a decent Junior Suite, and it has the new Sheraton look/furnishings. Location is meh.

That's OK. My crazy (not the good kind of crazy either) aunt called yesterday at 8:27 AM eastern time to wish me happy birthday. I didn't answer. I wasn't even awake. But on her voicemail she not only wished me happy birthday but followed that by admitting she didn't remember exactly what day my birthday was, and she wasn't sure what day yesterday was. But she figured she was close so she'd call anyway. Apparently when she gets off her meds she loses track of time and what day it is. I'm sure my father will be thrilled with to hear about this tomorrow evening when I see him, as he's the only person who really watches out for her.

Happy Birthday!!

It has been a long four days! Went on a trip with a guy I am dating and we were having a great time until he had to go to the emergency room in a city neither of us live in!! Good thing is he is all better and home now as well! After two days of taking care of him and aranging hotel and airline reservations and navigating us to and from these locations it is good to be home to rest a bit. Unfortunatly I head out to SMF this Sat for the evening from MEM and then FLL on Tues/Wed next week if I can arrange work schedule accordingly. LAter for now!

^ For $80, it sounds like a good enough option. I don't see a Junior Suite (or, Executive Suite as the picture on their website refers to it) on the night I am looking at, so they either don't have many of them and don't list them or they are all booked.
