One for Revenue Management Lurker.... I was going to book YYZ-SAN via either EWR or IAH on 10 May, but everything out of EWR and all the afternoon flights out of IAH went Z0, so much for buying an M-up or B-up. Does CO just not want me to go to SAN on them? Do I have to suck it up and start flying UA? :mad: Of course, I could just do YYZ-MAF on 10 May, and MAF-SAN on 11 May. :rolleyes:

Apparently everyone and their brother is going to ANC this weekend.

Both CO SEA-ANC flights are zeroed out, as well as 11 of 12 AS flights.

Before I got responsible, I wouldn't have cared and just spent to fly the miles. But that's what got me in the :rolleyes: I'm in.

I paid off last week's balance transfer on a few weeks of tips and some other assorted monies, so I did another one to save the interest on the higher-rate card previously mentioned. The transfer hasn't even posted to the new card and I'm sitting on 5% of the payoff.

Who is hosting the MudBug DO this year anyway? :D

Generally it depends on what you're looking for.

For international, in my experience, they almost never open up C unless they get really close and they are wide open.

What I didn't get about that trip was that our IAH-SJC flight was held at the gate for connections from CUN. Waited 45 minutes for these people to catch the last flight to their ticketed destination. But conversely, the GA's working the IAH-PHL flight on the way home said to us "No bump for you; we have misconnects that are going to open seats." Made me wonder if there is a set threshold for waiting, especially in the case of the last flight of the day to certain destination...I can understand if waiting creates bumps, then it's likely a loss for the airline.

I can see there will be a mad dash to the podium for Sunday morning's flight. :D
