I had a very crappy day today. The garage door somehow malfunctioned and started closing as I was backing out of the garage. That resulted in one shattered rear window on my truck and one damaged garage door panel. Now I have to get the glass replaced tomorrow morning and still try to fit in everything else on my only day off before leaving on Monday. I am just glad I did not have Roxy in the car for her vet apt. I am soo glad I was lazy today and cancelled her appointment.

I like Sir Richard.

As do I. Business Stripped Bare was an excellent read, and I have his other books on my wish list.

I met one of the guys with whom Sir Richard launched Virgin Mobile in Canadia. He is now the head honcho at duPont Canada. Very nice guy, and he was floored with my ability to spout names of people he might know and factoids from the BA-VS book. When he told me that he is an AC *G, I told him he might want to consider Porter once they open YTZ-PHL, which I think is coming this year. He mentioned his willingness to do so, and we talked at length about the legal battle brewing at YTZ.

The turkey burger picture I posted not long ago had those as the bread. They are excellent IMHO.

Nope...that's the way it is supposed to be for travel after mid-May. They are coordinating the seat numbers across the narrow-body fleet so 20/21 will always be the exit rows. Will make for easier aircraft swaps, among other things.

So the rows are being re-numbered out of order? I'm not computing something here.

Sucks to be you. :p I want to play the TPC sooooooo bad.

In other news now that I'm caught up, I had my third run-in with law enforcement in the last 10 days on the way home tonight. Apparently I made an illegal right on red. Not that I knew that...the cop informed me that I made a right on red, and I said "Indeed I did; New Jersey is right on red." Guess I missed the no turn sign...will check tomorrow to see that there is one. Very nice officer looked at but did not confiscate my 2010 get out of jail free card (and advised me to sign it - :o), and took it at face value that I'm new to the area. Heard him remark to his partner as he was walking back to the car: "Really nice guy." That made my night, especially after dealing with slow valet parkers and being left alone in the porte cochere by said parkers at the time that the GM was coming to pick me up for a meeting.

Wow you really are operating under a dark cloud:eek:

I have to admit once I forgot to open the garage door and backed up. Needless to say I didn't get far but didn't break the door of damage the car at least.

Morning Box. I found out what's waking me up early every morning. It's the birds. In particular a robin that chips in a way that my brain thinks it's an alarm clock. I notice they get real quiet again about 20 minutes before my alarm is supposed to go off which explains my ability to fall asleep right before my alarm goes off.

I was about 2 minutes from a terminal dump at JFK T7 this morning. Not good at all. The girl came back for her bag at the last second.

Up, up and away.

Gogo seems to be working pretty well this morning, though I may be the only person online. Sadly I get to spend most of the flight working.

CAL turned in losses at the high end of the consensus expected scale I'd seen, and the one place reporting possible profits must have been out of their gourd as I had thought.

-0.98 a share loss.

Not nearly as bad as AA thought, not sure how they can even continue with losses like that!
