In any case, I'd love to have the iPhone on Verizon's network. Though, I'd like to try out ssullivan's phone as well.

Yep. We should plan a Micro Do in the near future.

Stoopid work laptop. I've now got a service request with our IT people and am stuck using my Nexus One for getting on the web and the BlackBerry for work email access.

Is that a party of 2 or 3 on this trip?

DCA. A few of us will be at IAH until 9am, but it sounds like we will miss you.

I don't have to take my Dell laptop out for TSA either.

Apple is so  sometimes that you never know with them.

Agreed. I doubt this was an intentional publicity stunt.

I made myself a hamburger for lunch, on this very thin bread:

it was interesting, and good, but a bit messy as no absorbency of juices from burger, or mustard :

That's what I'm thinking. I usually don't have space to bring books, and I'm not allowed to load software or video on my company-issued laptop. However, schlepping two computers around, even if one is a netbook, is pretty . An iPad is more likely to fit in my laptop bag, and I probably wouldn't use it for any complex computing tasks anyway.

If you need to carry a second device then I can almost understand it. Since I can get away with just one I'm OK with just one plus the Kindle. Yes, it is just a reader, but it is phenomenal at that task, way better than what the iPad can do.

That worked pretty well. So did fighting with the ladies over the proper choice of snack in-flight. ^

This new 11" one is a beast. I'm not particularly happy with it. But for only a few ounces more I'm happy to have a real computer versus the crippled tool that is the iPad. I'm sure more apps will come along but right now I'm not seeing it.

I'm not a fan of their Gmail interface at all; haven't tried the regular web version yet. Basic web browsing is fine but a NetBook does that just as well for me and also has Picasa, Office and the other half dozen apps I use on a regular basis.
