I haven't received mine yet. But I only qualified for my first certificate last Thursday.

Bonus :-: for use of "take a gander."

Isn't that what 752 pilots say to ATC on TATL flights with strong headwinds?

"CO57 heavy to Volanco Control"
"Volcano Control"
"CO57 will need to take a Gander"
"Roger CO57. Canuck yourself to coordinates..."

You did not get the memo 757s of any type are no longer heavy, just give caution to wake turbulence.

Lived up north recently? Taxes up there make living here relatively inexpensive. I'll live w/ higher rates, if that means having a reliable water and sewer system.

Just booked hotel for wedding and no king beds are available. For the love of , help a brother out. I have the rest of my life to not want to share a bed with her. But not that night.

Met a couple on my honeymoon where the hotel goofed and so they put together two twin beds with king sheets and didn't tell them. Needless to say when they met in the middle the ties holding the legs together let go and they ended up splat on the floor!:D

I decided to pass on the mall trip, but my wife decided to bring home a shiny new iPad for me. :D

Also, belynch, if a Marriott is helpful, let me know and I can reserve stuff for you in your name but with my platinum account, guaranteeing you bed type.

Is that all Marriott Platinum is worth? Guaranteed bed type.

Nice. I sat next to someone last Saturday that had one. They look really cool and when they have one with 3G I might force myself to pick one up.

Not at all, but it is a nice benefit if you're staying at a hotel that is close to being full. Most properties will set aside rooms for plats early in the day. If they don't meet the guarantee, they have to pay $200 cash. If they walk you, it's $200 cash, an equivalent room at a near by property on their dime (doesn't have to be Marriott) and cab fare over if needed. I also enjoy the fairly regular suite upgrades that I enjoy at full service properties.

T&C's of the offer say it can take up to 4 weeks from the second qualifying stay. The first round of 5,000 has been sent out. A second round of 10,000 will be sent this Friday, from what I'm told.

So, yes...at least 5,000 of these have been distributed as of last Friday.

Let me know when you want to go, and we can hit up the "Galleria" Costco. It's not in the Galleria as I know it. More like at Richmond and Weslayan. I am a member and I go often.
