I'm getting tired of people not reading...I wonder how many times someone has said in the flat bed thread that the jets are dedicated to certain routes and there is no guarantee of a flat bed on a given city pair.

They read it. They quoted the line. They just didn't bother to understand what it is they were reading.

Good morning.

I'm determined to make one car work, at least for a few months...

It's doable; we lived in CHS for a couple of years with one car, although our housing choices were limited since we had to be near a bus line (of which there are not many).

It isn't worth the emotional investment (which I discovered many years ago).

Have a good night all. Safe travels and if anyone is in Washington DC this weekend or next week, let me know.

A la CC Sabathia, who cost the Indians a shot at the 2007 Series but pitched great for the Yankees last year

I would just like to see one of my teams win a championship at some point during my lifetime (preferably the Indians, but I'm not picky). On the other hand, being a Cleveland sports fan is a good way to learn about dealing with disappointment.

I take it you are attending the ACR? I was supposed to be in DC next Tuesday but am going to Baltimore instead.

I'm pretty sure our insurance rates went down when we moved from CHS, which was surprising.

I hate jug handles. And I HATE Route 1, which combines the worst things about a side road and a real highway.

Amen.

Well, I shall be in the air for the first time in over a month today, so that's exciting. Too bad all I have to get excited about is a fairly tight train/subway/bus ride to LGA to fly two segs in CRJs, and then an hour drive home from CAK.

Here comes the rain. Hopefully some of it will encourage the grass to grow and choke off all the  growing out there.

Can't be worse at merging than MEM, where it's apparently normal to stop at the end of freeway on-ramps.

The limited driving I've done in Houston wasn't too painful, but that comes with driving around Chicago suburbs, where the expressways run 15-20mph over the posted limit. The one difference here is that we don't view using turn signals as a sign of weakness. :)

In Miami using a turn signal is an indicator of impending doom and everyone but the person with the turn signal gets so close to each other to prevent you from turning they cause wrecks.

I am sure I worded that all wrong I just woke up, but you get the idea!

That would be PA. It's either a sign of weakness or that they were never taught what that funny-looking stick coming out of the steering column really does.

And for Phudnik and the CLE sport contingent:

"Just a reminder fans, about Die Hard Night comin' up here at the Stadium. Free admission to anyone who was actually alive the last time the Indians won a pennant."

Morning, Box.

Congrats, ALCO. ^
