I was busy giving teh  to Ohio. Detroit is so pathetic, I'd feel bad kicking it while it's down, missing half its teeth, and trying to stuff an eyeball back into its socket.

Sure, it's cheaper to buy a dell (which is why I bought a crappy HP last night as a stop gap) but you get VASTLY inferior parts and a lot less bang for your buck. My issue is that I only have so many bucks, so I had to do what I could with what I had.

Hey man... I build Dells.. (with Powerpoint.. probably why they are so cheap.. :p)

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9630/5.0.0.591 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Some beautiful weather and scenery out this afternoon by the iStore. May have to extend this lunch break a bit.

Mechanical designs aside, they use substandard parts. The best ProE files in the world do not a quality computer make. :)

Hi Box.

I am now seriously facing the probability of having to spend another night in LIT. I cannot leave site until the branch management staff has been trained and so far the branch manager is being a complete a-hole about getting trained. Of course it hasn't helped that this is the first day she's been in the office all week. The assitant manager tells me that she disappears for days at a time. Now she insists that she won't be available until 4:00. Given that it's highly unlikely she'll be ready exactly at 4:00 and that the training will take a minimum of 45 minutes, I don't see how I'm making my 6:10 to IAH.:mad::mad:

I had a dad like that too. Somehow it didn't rub off enough, though I think he did a decent job of trying. Maybe my mother* overbalanced him.

* = just the other weekend, when the parents were here, we had a minor plumbing emergency - the shower faucet handle actually blew off and water started gushing out of the resulting hole. I called campus maintenance, my dad found a large cookie sheet to at least deflect the water flow back INTO the shower...and my mom ran into the bedroom, got under the covers, and instructed us to tell her when it was over. That should give y'all an idea.

Most, if not all the biggies (Dell, Apple, HP, etc) use the same ODM(s) and the same (or similar) set of sub-components. But, I'm sure you will understand I'm not in a position to argue the *finer* points (online). :)
