DL has no horse in that race. With JL and NH being the dominant carriers there, the smart thing would be to award them away from SkyTeam. Northwelta can stay in their big-dog spot at NRT.
My bet is CO gets the GUM bid and loses the EWR bid. |

I personally think DL is more in-line to become the next Pan Am.
winner winner chook dinner. Hilton has drastically dropped prices for their MLE properties. I wonder if they shot themselves in the foot by reducing the value of their HHonors points and if that has reduced bookings at places like MLE. I can haz Waldorf Astoria branded property for less than what the standard Hilton was at only one month ago, and teh Conrad for only $300/night? I can haz. :D |

It sounds like a positive move, other than the lack of international travel. YMMV

Careful, Mike. That might make too much sense. ;)

I'm not sure how DL thinks they have a chance for all these slots when they've been touting, since the acquisition of NW, that they are the largest carrier between the US and Japan. They kind of shot themselves in the foot with that one.

Congrats CMike! I've got a bunch of clients in Philthydelphia that I've been putting off visiting. Is the du Pont a viable option as far as commuting? Google Maps says 36 minutes to Market St. BTW, how is your commute going to be from AC?
My commute is going to be ~40 minutes. Told myself that I would not move into teh fiancee's apartment full-time until I can haz yob that justifies it. She is a well-struck 3-wood from I-295, and I take that down to the Barry to 95.

I think CO has a reasonable chance of both and UA has a decent chance for SFO-HND.

I figure HNL gets one and then SFO, LAX and either GUM or NYC.

You think 3 of 4 would go to Star? I'm skeptical of that given how much the Japanese value access to HND. I'm more thinking two each to Star and OW.
The real question is what rights are JAL and ANA getting? I'm sure that will play into it. For example, if JL gets to fly HND-JFK then AA likely won't get approval. |

No way that *A gets three of the four slots, especially with the ATI on the horizon. That just doesn't make sense.

Thank you, sir. :D You could certainly base yourself down there and do a day of Center City client visits. Fair warning: you would be in the morning rush, since lots of Northern Delaware works further north than they are.

Tinkerer, there will be 5 of us - Scott6067, SteveGadfly,FTLurker,Steph3n and myself. We arrive around 11pm-ish.
Someone above posted that the Hilton runs a shuttle between the terminals. Do you know if that is still operating for incoming flights?

I only said walking being ignorant of the terminal situation, and have yet to find a full terminal map anyway.....so, we'd need a van taxi.
Anyone have some Peso's already? :) I'll be renting a car in PTY for only twice the amount of taxi from terminal to the hilton... Would you be willing to give one of us traveling next weekend your number so one of us can call you if we get stuck? :)
