Thank you, sir. :D You could certainly base yourself down there and do a day of Center City client visits. Fair warning: you would be in the morning rush, since lots of Northern Delaware works further north than they are.

You would also need to be sure that Delaware isn't closed for repairs (one of my favorite Letterman bits).

Well, there's always Septa.

My last planned LH flight is for 02/21, so hopefully this won't affect me.

I think that you have mentioned this previously, but is your wife employed by HISD?

No, she does not work for HISD. She works for another large district in the Houston area.

I'm sure you will find an error fare and post it for the rest of us! ;)

BTW, if I ever find a CO error fare, or a good MR fare, I'm posting it in the 'Box first.:-:

I have no 'talent' for finding any 'error' fares -- so am at the mercy of fellow FTers! ;) I've yet to actually do a MR -- even though I attended the MR seminar!

All good but for the part about DL. If there is a sensible, just, and loving god of aviation, she will shut out DL based on their NRT presence and the very un-Japanese trait of...here we go again, kids...hubris.

He used that line at one time on a billboard on the West Side Highway too. "Attention Motorists: New Jersey is closed." :D

I hadn't really thought about that, though nothing is out of the question.

The real question is what rights are JAL and ANA getting? I'm sure that will play into it. For example, if JL gets to fly HND-JFK then AA likely won't get approval.

Good point, yes. The Japanese authorities will look much more favorably on their native companies.

She's lucky.

HISD has many unwritten policy rules, such as the one that you mentioned (no vacation on the day before a holiday). That, coupled with the new school board decision to use students' TAKS scores to determine whether to keep/fire teaches, is causing, in part, my significant other to leave HISD after this school year. Here's to hoping that she will find something more sane in another school district....

I thought about going with "what a buzz kill," but thought that such a remark might be in bad taste.

The regional rail station isn't horribly far from the hotel.

I wish HISD would take our research recommendations to the state to heart. There has to be teacher accountability but relying on TAKS scores is just stupid.

I would have laughed at both, but I'm sicker and more twisted than average.
