I'm surprised no one has tried the doctor's note end-around on that. Diarrhea in foreign countries happens...even South Carolina.

If this was present in my wife's contract or in the handbook, I wouldn't have an issue. It is not like the teachers can do full blown lessons that day anyway, they are not allowed to assign homework over Spring Break

Plus, the other teacher isn't her superior, they're equals and she takes off pretty much two or three days a month, leaving my wife to cover her lesson planning.

They can't deny you a sick or bereavement day. Those have to be fully verifiable through documentation if they occur around a holiday.

Considering she knows someone who works on an ambulance, and is friends with at least a dozen doctors / nurses / PA's / NP's, etc. getting a doctor's note is not difficult. Still, she doesn't abuse this policy.

Thanks for coming to my rescue. I was upset over what was written and I sent a PM to the writer. Turns out that he was just kidding and enjoys my posting. All's well that ends well.

No problem!;) Still -- I think it was totally inappropriate for him to remark that way -- essentially 'lumping' you in a 'group' - as well!:confused:

Had a nice evening last night. Date and then a wiskey tasting!!

From the booking engines I am checking for my CM run this weekend it seems that there is a possibility for a bump on the PTY-JFK flight. Does anyone know if they issue CO vouchers or CM only vouchers? I dont have to be anywhere Monday but my CO flights would have to be changed.

:) :) That just put me in mind of the great Cosby routine about giving his kids chocolate cake for breakfast. :)

I really can't take a bump, I have to be back for work :(

I am thinking we won't be sitting in first as a group here on these flights, someone is going to get stuck in Y. Wonder what CMs upgrade criteria is...(status(all plat!), fare(all H), time of booking(don't know but I was near last))

BTW Scott, did you book refundable rates at hilton, or prepaid no refunds? Not sure if you already answered this.

I am game for a long walk if need be :) (Hilton is at a diff terminal than we come in on and train will be stopped already)
