spelling

unagi1 is "going green" (to use mjm's terminology) on the SIN DO 2007.

Had a nice time in 2005 but couldn't make it this past January.

Mr. Sweet Willie, please put me down for Friday night drinks and the Saturday dinner, and I am a possible for LPS on Friday night.

Jan 10 UA 837/803 SFO-NRT-SIN
Jan 16 UA 804/852 SIN-NRT-SFO

At Conrad Jan 12,13,14 not sure where for the 11th and 15th yet.

FWIW, PL has had Conrad @ US$75+ on weekends (F,S,S) for 3 months or so now. No HH, but as a Gold they have still given me the full breakfast buffet. $75 was a bit too good to pass up.

Yes, this was a name your own price.

I was able to get this same price for three different trips this year in Sept, Oct, and Nov.

It only seems to be avail Fri, Sat, Sun.

I couldn't get the Conrad to come up on weeknights even going quite a bit higher, but I stopped because I didn't want to risk getting the Pan Pacific which I don't really care for.

I agree. The Pan Pacific does not deserve a 5* rating.

A last minute addition

OK, I'm in (traveling alone for $700.61 PDX-SIN)

Looking forward to seeing some old friends.

Depart PDX NW 5 on 1/10/06 Seat 15B aisle, hopefully row 10 will open when I check in on-line.

Arrive SIN 1/12/06 at 12:35.

This flight is almost full in Y.

Depart SIN on 1/28/06 at awful 0600. Seat 29B-exit aisle

Hotel at this point is unknown.

Where to go post-Do is still up in the air. Perhaps Vietnam, perhaps Malaysian Borneo. Maybe a couple of days in Bangkok.
Maybe Laos.

I'll figure it out prior to departure. This visit is slightly less than 30 days from our two weeks recuperation from knee replacement in Singapore and Langkawi.

I'll take a pass on the Indian lunch but otherwise should be up for most other activities.

It will be good to see you again, opushomes, although we will miss Marsha. Please give her our regards.

We will arrive early Friday evening from BKK so we will hook up with you somewhere along the way. Probably for dinner Friday night.

Is there a website for the party?

Conrad-Priceline for 1/12 & 1/13 @ $75++

The above says it all. Am awaiting word from the Changi transit hotel for the night of 1/11.

Guess that I am staying with the majority of the out-of-town folks.

I see that the Indian lunch is looking like Muthu's, I was wondering what people think of Banana Leaf Apolo just down the street. The food at both is good, but the last two times at Muthu's, they wouldn't provide glasses of water and insisted we purchase bottles of water. And this was in a party of 6that included 2 Singaporeans. Samy's on Dempsey Road not far from the US Embassy is also decent, although not aircon (unless you pay IIRC S$0.50extra to sit in the aircon room)

I have a question regarding the med perscription requirement. Do you actually need a copy of the perscription from the doctor or is the original bottle ok?

Also, I arrive into SIN on the 11th around midnight, is there plans for early Friday morning established or should I head for the Sheraton and try to sleep?
