Oh, BTW I will be on the CDG-SIN flight Friday to try out the new seats if anyone else happens to be taking that flight.

...

Of course, if the reservation at Geylang has been cancelled already due to the outcome of the vote, I won't complain and be happy to come to the Esplanade ... (Pending your confirmation of my attendance.)...
There is room for you (and Freddie, Jr) as the reservation is for 36 people and I have not canceled the duplicate yet. I am quite willing to do a vote recount to change the location. My concern is even with your 20:15 at Changi arrival you would only be there just as dinner was finishing.

How about this?, go to the Esplanade location and meet us for drinks after dinner. I think it is more likely that people will hang around there rather than Geylang. My Singapore cell phone is (+65) 9359 1623.

Wow, I really forgot to check this thread until today. How sad.

Is it too late to join people for dinner on Saturday? May be +1, still negotiating with my SO whether she's up for hearing lots of miles talk

Edited to add: she's not so it'll be just me

Well, excellent. Am glad I will see you guys one way or the other. I'll let you make that call, I figure I could be at Geylang around 20:45 if there is no flight delay. No luggage, taxi right to the place. But I'm fine with drinks at Esplanade as well. Won't be that hungry anyway ...
^ (SQ F). Just save a crab just so I can try please please please.

I'll check this thread again as soon as I can, and would be happy to get suggestions on how to get to Esplanade quickest from the airport if thats where we are heading.

Just arrived at the NRT RCC. So I rushed over here to use one of their computers. The UD of the B747, SFO-NRT, was no hardship. Perhaps this is the reward for all the Ted and UX flights in N.America I have to make! I was joined on the flight by unagi1 and Tman777. Looking forward to
meeting everyone in SIN.

Sitting in the upstairs NRT WC at the moment as well. Waiting for opushomes to land on NW5 to join him on the ride to SIN. No op-ups for this poor coach boy yet but I'll keep asking. What are you boys doing when you land?

By far the quickest way would be to take a cab from the airport. Tell him you want to go the Esplanade and you're set. It's an easy drive down the East Coast Parkway, and the Esplanade itself is practically right next to the highway. It should take about 15 mins from Changi, maybe less.

I am just clocking off work now to head out to that delightful place called Heathrow to catch a flight to FRA and from there onto SIN with LH.

Looking forward to seeing you good folk when I get there.

Rained all day yesterday, but today looks nice. Cloudy, but dry... so far

Put me down for Lunch Saturday, but looks like I can't make the walking tour.

I'll go to Swissotel later today and look at booking room in the bar for tonight.
