I know some of us plan to bring bottles from our personal stash.

Let's take an inventory shortly before the Do to see what folks plan to bring so that others may "fill in the holes".

I am sidelined from any travel....please fill me in on anything I may be missing on this.....I am planning on bringing wine in (alas,) SIN 2008..

I thought tsa rules were changed so that wine could now be carried on - but a quick search of the rules seems to indicate I was wrong about that.

I like your recommendation and if the rules won't allow me to bring my own, I'll plan to hit the duty free once I arrive.

I'll beginn to work in Singapore in January. So if you don't mind to welcome a young European guy, put me in as a tentative! I'd love to join!

BTW: Where can I find the official website?

My itinerary:

Jan.10 UA 1153 RNO-SFO
. . . . . UA 837 SFO-NRT
Jan.11 UA 803 NRT-SIN

Jan.15 UA 804 SIN-NRT
. . . . . UA 890 NRT-LAX
. . . . . UA 930 LAX-SFO
. . . . . UA 6326 SFO-RNO.

(The detour through LAX on the return is solely for the miles. )

Hotels:

Jan.11 - transit hotel SIN
. . . 12,13 - Conrad
. . . 14 - Hilton Singapore.

I note that Lori_Q and violist are on my return flight UA SIN-NRT.

We are also on the SIN/NRT leg on the 15th. ^

Is there a list of attendees or activities that I am missing?

Advice to UA Flyers NRT-SIN

Advice to UA Flyers NRT-SIN in C. Check your seat assignments. When I booked I was able to reserve my favourite seats in the mini C cabin. However when I checked today, my seats have been changed and I'm back in the main C cabin. Apparently the plane has changed to a 777XP. But not only is there no 8A,8B,8H,8J, there is also no 9A,9B! According to seatguru & SeatExpert there should be 9A,9B, but these don't exist either.

I just flew into SIN from NRT (landed a half hour early) and the plane was also switched to a 777XP. However, 9A/B did exist so I was able to enjoy the great legroom afforded by this configuration.
