Data point - AU
Added an authorized user on my UA card and she used the UA card on 6/21. I was added as an authorized user on her UA card on 6/22. We both used the UA AU cards on 6/23. The 5,000 bonus points posted in both of our UA accounts on 7/5.

I am curious as to when your statement ran? Did the posting of the 5000 AU points coincide with a statement close?

This was a few months back, so things may have changed. I added my sister as an AU via secure message to Chase, she doesn't even live in the US nor does she have a SS# - no problem, and the 5K miles posted immediately. The AU cars was never used.
For my wife we added an AU user when she called the recon line, again no SS# and th epoints posted immediately, even before the first spend on the card.

They posted with the statement close dates in both our cards. In fact we did not even have activity during the billing cycle, but the 5K bonus posted with a statement issued, no activity, just the additional 5K pts.

Check the Travel tab.
Though you need to have Sapphire Preferred or Ink Bold in order to have that feature available to you.
If you dont find the feature, may be it is because you dont have the above Chase cards?

It is on UR site. It is done internally not from outside source.

I guess dropping $30 to load some points in the Mileage plus account isn't so bad to kick off the offer

I did some more digging. My card is a Freedom card that I got because of a $300 cash back bonus around the first of the year. The transfer is not available for Freedom card holders

Or, you can sign up the MP dining program and do a dine quickly. Dining miles post very quickly usually within a week.

This was our experience. Had no points in MP account, signed up for MPDining and made the initial $50 spend, points posted to the MPDining account in a week and took about four days after that to post to MP. The bonus 1000 MP points took a few more days. As soon as the initial spend hit the MP account, the 65K offer was shown.

I was curious because my wife had a AU offer for her Marriott Rewards Card through Chase in June, she added me as an AU but the points haven't posted yet. The statement did run and they weren't shown on the statement either. The offer indicated 6-8 weeks after accepting the offer for them to post. Guess we will have to wait until the August statement.

In case this affected anyone: looks like the Chase UA Explorer offer I received from Mileageplus that said it was going to expire 7/6/2012 was targeted. It didn't even have the $50 credit. So good thing I didn't go for it and looks like the $50 credit one still stands. For how long though... think this card will be around in 2 months?

I read a post by one of those FF bloggers that he was able to apply for 2 chase cards within a 2 month period by calling the reconsideration. How hard and fast is the 3 month rule for chase cards?
