BKI may be on the cards for Nov

i think given CX's planes are used up, new routes or more frequencies, at least until 2028 when A330neos arrive, would be little to none for CX. most would come from UO instead.

When you say it it's fine. But when i say the same thing I am an anti Cathay troll.... pretty much all airlines in the world have fleet shortage, this isnt only in CX. airlines do anything to get planes these days- QR with its LCC A21N is one example. and maybe, i could be wrong and CX would add even more flights next year. but you usually put false comments that people often call out, combined with ragebait like "CX cant compete against SQ" , which brings arguments |
why not resuming below routes ?
1. JED (Jeddah) 2. AUH (Abu Dhabi) 3. DUB (Dublin) 4. CPT (Cape Town) 5. IAD (Washington) |

BKI was announced long before. It is a UO route.

3. DUB (Dublin) btw the original HKG-DUB flight number, CX301, has been reused for HKG-MUC. Chances of resuming is very very low |

I thought CX was only short on long haul frames, but seems like they're short on regional frames too now. If you look at the regional schedule for NW25, you can see CX sending A321neos to NGO and KIX, as well as swapping 333s off HAN, MNL and BKK with 773s and 359s as irregular swaps... I have no idea how they're planning to expand at this rate. A few 35K flights have been massively delayed this week due to airframe shortages too.
With more 321neos to come, I guess we’ll only see more routes resuming / starting with narrow bodies. |

It’s like CX was at sleep in the last 5 years or so, making delayed decisions on future fleet planning (certainly COVID was one of the causes though). Counterparts in the region have been getting new planes delivered.

100% agreed.

CX has no wide body deliveries till 2028 , maybe 2 in 2027. no airline ever expected demand to come back so quick, travel demand seems to be endless today around the world. at this point i think CX is trying to squeeze as much capacity as possible, but the limit is gonna be reached soon, at least until 2027-2028 and supply chain issues, infinite queues for new planes are not gonna help either, airlines around the world are starving for any plane at this point, a example is QR with their LCC A21N also i dont know why CX didnt snatch sichuans airlines 5 A350s its retiring, i think CI already took it... |
