On the homepage, right under where you enter your city pair and dates for flight search, you will see two radio buttons:
1.) "Fixed Travel Dates"
2.) "Flexible Travel Dates (+/- 3 days)"

The problem with "Fixed Travel Dates", you cannot choose the booking class. It will give you the cheapet subclass available. You cannot even ask for milege accruable fare. Lousy engine!!!

Yeah, I tried to booked a trip to TPE from HKG a few months again and I wanted MILEAGE TICKET but it kept giving me non-mileage ticket. It's cheap, but I wanted the miles and sectors. Can't believe CX can't give more flexibility on its website.....

no excuse for cx.com....but you'll find the flight you need on dragonair.com

Thanks - that worked. But whilst last night dragonair.com showed the link to fare rules from the website, today it does not... Have booked, but will need to locate fare rules to work some possible changes!

Minor Annoyance- perhaps the most pointless of them all - still:

I like the keyboard more than the mouse on the homepage, I'm just tuned to Click 'Membership No' field -> tab->Type PIN->Tab->Enter

Now that last tab brings me to the 'Forgot PIN' link, rather than the 'Login' button. All it takes is for me to hit tab twice- but pretty much each time i've logged in on the new website, i end up popping up the 'Forgot PIN' window.

You know you spent way too much time on CX's website when...

Jk :D Totally understandable. My next minor annoyance related to your experience would be, when using home computer...the cookies would be able to remember my whole family member's MPC numbers.

The new website doesn't allow that.

I just use one browser per family member. Me - IE9, Mum - Mozilla, Dad - Chrome

Award booking (mileage redemption booking) doesn't work. At the last page where it says enter credit card details, it goes blank. Tried it with different browsers.

Try clearing cookies and cache and start again. I was trying to book a special fare this morning and it kept saying not available for my dates. I cleared all cookies and cache and then it booked ^

Yeah I do all that and still every time I log in with my MPC number and PIN all I get is taken to a page with a box saying
"You are unable to proceed as you may have logged out, or your session has expired. Please log in again."
Is the site fixed and it's just me or are there other people still having this problem of being unable to log in?

Think it's just you.
As far as logging in wise, it's been fine for me for the past week or so.

It's not just him. When I try to log in, I get this error:

The connection has timed out

The server at origin2-www.cathaypacific.com is taking too long to respond.

Huh? S.B. OK. I even saw a couple of CTS seats I knew my SO is desperate for for sisters, and she managed to snag them (well, by the time she done it one seat was gone, but waitlist set up).

jagmeets Jul 10, 2013 3:28 am

Couple others
1) Meal selection cannot be applied to all sectors on the booking (now you need to select the meals leg by leg - the checkbox for 'Apply to all sectors' used to come in handy )
2) In the old version, if you selected seats for a particular segment, and then clicked the radio button for another segment, the lower part of the page, where the actual details are, would automatically go to the seat selection page of that segment. No more. Now hitting the radio button for another segment defaults to the My Details> Contact page for that segment down there.

The refresh is coming...

Does anyone still have issues with MMB? Ever since the "refresh" I have been unable to MMB when I log in with my MPC number. Surely this would be more useful than the new fancy graphics on the site.

Wow looking so many issue here, I am glad that I chose to fly ZTK instead of CX or my YZyZ trip next week.
