MPO down again :td:
|
I can Manage Booking for some bookings, but others cause 'internal system error'.
|
Anyone else getting lots of internal errors after logging into MPC?

One good thing I have to say about the site - Cancel (Redemption) Booking actually works. Didn't work in old cx.com
But 2747 5500 is totally jammed. Even after getting through, both Manila and Tsuen Wan jammed. Probably sorting Utor backlog. |
Another 'refresh' - the Pebble S&P shakers will be gone next month
-Oops!msorry. I thought its the F class refresh we were talking about !

Yep, the J class "Pebble" Salt & Pepper shakers originally designed by the G.O.D. Group will be gone by next month or Oct. Don't know what the replacements will be ...

MMB won't let me select emergency seat, gave me a pop-up that I got to call reservation office or MPO and get my credit card ready to pay $100 USD....

Been this way for weeks for me -- different times of day, different workstation OS, different browsers. It is more than irritating. Further there is the chicken and egg issue -- to contact their online services support from the US, the seeming best option is to fill out the form online. AFTER one files that out, the same %^$# internal system error message pops up. Yes, I can use Checkmytrip to verify status, but one would think this sort of issue which has persisted apparently on and off for months would get resolved. I'm glad that others are lamenting about this (and similar) issues with the Cathay Web site -- perhaps at some point, Cathay will engage in noise level management and allocate competent resources to resolve the problem.
"Due to internal system error, you are unable to proceed further. Please close the current browser and try again. Should this problem persist, please contact our Online Services Support." |
Have you tried Dragonair's website? I have been having the same issues on Cathay's website as everyone since the update, but strangely Dragonair's website seems to work for me. I cannot log on CX but I am successfully logged right now on Dragonair (on IE 10) and can see my bookings (I only have 2 CX bookings for now). Just managed to changed my seat to an extra leg-room, clicked and saved.
For OLCI, it has worked for me using CX app (I only had 4 CX flights since the update but all four ok). Of course I agree that CX needs to resolve their main website ASAP. That's not an excuse. |

I tried Dragonair -- same problem there -- though it looked like it was actually searching -- longer time delay before the error message.
I figure to keep watching here to see when (if) Cathay gets some programming talent to fix the issue. Isn't urgent -- I was able to set up seats (which Check my trip confirms) by phone. I just find it something of an indictment of computer skills at a nominally top notch airline. A non-related question -- regarding check my trip -- I can't get it to recognize domestic flights in the US with confirmation codes -- is that something others have encountered? It is a free site, and the domestic flights have working websites, so not a big deal, but it is just something to wonder about. Perhaps US based airlines block access? |

CX doesn't operate any domestic flights because Hongkong is so small.
