o I wouldn’t say that. Ba hasn’t mastered the steak cooked to order, the 200 whiskys or the ducks

Fair enough. I have only been to both of them once and I can say that the FCT experience is miles better. Some people probably have plenty of experience to compare.

If I'm in the CCR at 9am, what's the menu opportunity for something other than breakfast

I can clarify for breakfast/rest-of-the-day split. In the GF and CCT the swap happened at 1100. It seems for the CCR it’s back to the normal 1200 swap between menus.

Some more photos - I will do the usual photo guide when I get a chance - this is the salmon salad and the mushroom pie.

I just noticed a new Afternoon Tea option on the menu. I messed up yesterday and missed the CCR time in the afternoon. I've got to get back to LHR earlier next weekend to enjoy the bar and new options.
I'd love to see scones in the CCR, but then my waistline clearly disagrees.

This is the Cambodian vegetarian curry.

Looking at these photos I do wonder whether someone actually gave any thought to the practicalities of how these dishes were going to be eaten, rather than only being concerned with presentation.

How are you meant to hold the hot dog if the bun has been dried with some kind of yogurt?

I suspect eating that beef tortilla will be quite a messy affair, with much dribbling down on the plate.

There is way too much going on with that smoked salmon dish. Half the onions would do, and why olives? A bizarre combination.

That pie on greens served on a pan is going to wobble all over the place when you cut it.

No, it would revert to the CCT menu (which is the same as the GF menu) after 3pm.

This replaced the mushroom pie that I wanted.

In the end I went for a light snack before flying out and enjoyed the pointy nose view.

Out of interest any experience on how long meals take to arrive in the CCR?

Heading out on a 12:05 flight and keen to know if I order a lunch meal at the crossover at 11:00 - if in theory it should arrive in time for me to quickly eat before heading to the gate? Also handy to know if the bar makes any cocktails on request (provided they have ingredients) - sad to see there is no Aperol stocked!

Any other hints/tips super appreciated as a first timer to the CCR next week
