That looks like the old Kuwait Air F seats I regularly used to JFK a while back when working for a more , ahem, frugal employer (if Kuwait F cheaper than BA J - whoda thunk it).
For JFK runs I don't recall it being that bad, except that it was a dry flight. Food on Kuwait used to be great though.
New planes now though I think, so I suspect it's all a bit more generic.
