Club Europe Catering Guide 2017.

This thread outlines the new arrangements for Club Europe catering, introduced on Sunday 26 March 2017 and due to end on Tuesday 11 September 2018, based on 3 zones. A new Club Europe catering product is due to be launch on Wednesday 12 September 2018, and this is based on 4 bands. The main information piece - in terms of timings and the distance zones for the meals can be found in post 1. The following cross references the photos below against the matrix of options. In addition to the photos, some FTers have written extensively on their experiences so there is more to this thread than the pictures. Also note that there was an increase in food offered on some combinations shortly after the start-up, so the more recent photos may be the best place to start. The previous shorthaul catering guide, now locked but which had the previous 4 band system, is to be found here.

Numbers relate to the post number. Vegetarian means the alternative option provided as standard rather than the pre-ordered versions - which are VLML (Lacto-ovo), AVML (Asia) and VGML (Vegan) . There are differences between the offering in/out of LHR, LGW, LCY+STN. Last update: 833

Note posts before 1-832 are typically the April 2017 menu. 833 and above is from the menu for May 2017.

That would be correct, duck is on the inbound, the starters rotate in step with the main courses.

So the current outbound LHR Rotation A is as follows:

See post 1667 above for the inbound LHR Rotation A.

Recent trip LGW to EDI - this was much better than the other chicken salad that was doing the rounds last month

LGW - EDI chicken breast with mustard potato salad

Thanks that's really helpful. I was in 3F yesterday. Row 1 was full, 2 had 3 out of 4 occupied and there were 2 of us across row 3. Cod ran out on my row (6 rows in Club). I had ordered a VLML anyhow, but fancy the fish pie on the return leg on Monday. Have moved up to 2F (row 1 full).
I'll leave the duck as I am pescetarian, but don't want VLML on the return as I cannot stomach the pasta again..

I had a very nice smoked duck salad on a GLA-LHR service last week on a very empty 767 with a really lovely crew. The chap serving me was a flyertalk member and as there were only three of us in 6 rows of CE I ended up having a very interesting chat with him. He was saying a lot of the crew very much enjoy working on the 767's and will miss them when they are gone.

Had the salmon and chicken on LHR-LIS on Sunday and the duck / chicken tikka inbound on Wed, both were excellent. The main course 'charger' / plate doesn't seem to fit on the tray - it does but the dessert and cheese plate have to be totalky snug against the far end for everything to fit!!

MF crews both ways were very good but particularly on return. On the outbound they served the meals followed by drinks which surprised me (8 rows of CE both ways).

TXL-LHR was the duck salad and I must say I thought it looked familiar. On this flight there was a drinks run and nuts before the 'meal'. Sorry but it was small for a 1 h 30 business class flight - it feels smaller than the Band 1/2 salads of old? Can't fault the quality, however.

Great BA chicken shortage 2017

Cajun Chicken salad on today’s BA766 LHR-OSL (1255 Departure)

Was really tasty, but I get more chicken in the Caesar salad in my Boots meal deal. OSL really should be in the long band, 6 rows of CE and service done with the crew behind the galley curtain with an hour still to run.

I'll say this though, that dessert looks tasty

That sounds about right to be honest, it leaves 10-15 mins for one crew member to grab a snack while the other tidies away, then the second has a snack while the first runs a final drinks order, followed by delivery of any PRCs, fully clearing in and securing for landing.

It sounds like the Ploughman's has changed. Was it not liek the dish in this photograph: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28108276-post480.html

Darling Corporate-Wage-Slave - I wondered at first why a picture of a rather ordinary panini should be dedicated to me. I wondered if this was because it reminded you of me because it was hot and tasty and came from an airline galley?

Then I saw the butter pack and I understood. Au Revoir Monsieur le President, Adieu Mesdames Elle &Vire. Bonjour Matelot with your Anchor.

You are sweeter than whatever that is on your desert dish.
