The diagrams on the map do make it look like there's more space. There's less overlap with the seat in front, and whilst the seat itself may not be any larger, the footprint does look bigger. Seems to be more room in front and on the sides.

Also says that the economy (you know, the bit at the back) will have wider seats?
How does that work with 3-3-3 seating? ?

Marginally narrower aisles supposedly.

The Y class seats are confirmed to be wider. Being able to compare apples to apples with the new WT on the 77W vs. the 787, it's clear that the seats have been designed in different widths for different aircraft. Staff said they received so many complaints about the narrow Dreamliner seats that they've decided to narrow the aisles in favour of more seat width.

Looks like the 787-9 is on the AUH/MCT route from November 15 as have just received details from BA about a change in aircraft with seating plan showing 8 First seats.

Likewise my outbound to AUS on 19 Mar also now showing as a 789. It appears to have changed from 1 Feb to the end of the Winter schedules, at which point it is currently showing as reverting to a 772.

It seems the 789 will not be daily from then, still showing 777 on certain days

Will this be the smallest BA F cabin ever, or did the 767s used to have 8F?

Looking forward to the 789 on my flight to AUH in Q1 next year. Still showing as a 777, but I understand that the dates for putting the 789 on this route have not yet been confirmed.

I used to fly the 767 regularly to Baltimore. It definitely had only 8 seats in F.
