MMB/Expertflyer Aircraft Codes:
320 = Airbus A320 without Sharklets
32A = Airbus A320 with Sharklets
32N = Airbus A320neo

Airbus A320 Seating Guide

The following elevation diagrams of the A320 CEO (type 32G) cabin show the relationship between seats and windows. Note, while the elevations show the arrangement of the DEF seats, the ABC side is effectively a mirror of what you can see here.

The LGW fleet also have a similar layout on the starboard (DEF) side forward of the overwing exits but on the LGW aircraft the row numbers start at 2. Other vital statistics are also included.

Here are the corresponding cabin elevations of the A320 NEO (type 32N). As with the CEO, the elevations show the arrangement of the DEF seats with the ABC side effectively a mirror of what you can see here.

See the first post in this thread for current seat maps, details, and aircraft codes BA use internally to distinguish the different configurations.

Yes, sorry I deleted my post because I realised I had posted incorrectly.

If she chose row 11 it would be an exit on both types and then she would not need to worry.

However if she chooses row 11 and the aircraft is a new one, it won't recline.

Last time I flew NCL to LHR, the front seats opened at -72 hours. Does anyone know if this happens on Sundays as I'm trying to move my seats forward & they haven't opened.

The change usually happens around midday, and I think is reliant on someone at BA literally pressing a button to release the seats. I am not sure if this occurs on a Sunday but I am sure seats have opened up on a Saturday before for me.

The 72 hour before departure release of blocked ET seats is variable - it can happen at any time on the day that is 3 days before departure.

But usually around lunchtime UK time on that day? That's my experience, anyway.

I had a 10:00 experience the other day! Although usually it is closer to 12:00.

Hi Littlegirl,
Im getting very confused. I have booked seats 12D @ E on flight BA2674 Gatwick to Larnaca on the 14th January and on the return on 11th Feb. Will all the planes be the same layout by then?
The seating plan currently shows rows 11 and 12 as exit rows, there is no row 13 shown.
My husband is six four tall so all we are really concerned about is leg room. It is always uncomfortable for him if the seat in front reclines so ideally we would want to be in a row behind non reclining seats. Is there any way to be sure of this please.
Would I be allowed to book two seats, one behind the other so that if I sat in the front one we could be sure that he wouldn't be battered by the seat in front reclining? (I'm only five four so not really a problem to me).
This is a 'cheap break away from the winter' so don't really want to spend for upgrades as we are also going to the US in September for seven weeks (also with BA flying into Denver no seats booked yet as too early to book returns). It's great being retired.
Thank you, a very confused traveller.

There is no reason why you shouldn't book one seat behind the other. I've seen other people do the same thing before.

We were in row 12 and it was an exit row.
