Even though there is no separate Fast Track Security Lane, When we flew F we were escorted by a BA Staff member to crew security line

At Fast Track South they do occasionally check at the entrance. My experience is that almost everyone in Fast Track South is eligible, it's not a very exclusive club when over 50% of a typical GVA or EDI flight is silver or higher. I saw the numbers on an NCL flight the other day, 162 passengers: 2 GGL/CCRs, 2 bog standard GGLs, 7 Golds, 32 Silvers, 5 Bronzes, 6 oneworld Emeralds (3 from JAL, 2 AA ExPlat, 1 CX), 5 Sapphires, 1 Ruby. Plus guests. And NCL isn't well endowed with status on the whole.

BA fast track at MXP is an absolute farce.
It is very rarely called and by the time boarding commences there is a crowd of passengers 30 wide 4 deep shuffling forward. Judging by the amount of Italians on this the MXP-LHR route that have to stand up and open the overhead locker when the seatbelt sign is still on and the plane is still taxiing leads to believe these are cultural things.
Apologies to any Italians that like to respect other travellers but this is just my observation on this route.

Welcome to Flyertalk aldaniti
Welcome to Flyertalk aldaniti, and welcome to the BA board. Please make yourself at home and please continue to post. It's great to see new faces here, so welcome once again.
The usual gates they have at MXP are slightly tucked into a corner, and though there is a Priority Boarding sign, what tends to happen is that there is a scrum of people densely packed around the gate that in becomes hopeless as a process. On the other hand, having seen only yesterday how Naples - of all places - enforce Priority Boarding with utter ruthlessness ("Are you bizness? No, you're not, go away") it could be enforced, but my theory is that Italians were put on this planet for many wonderful things, but not for queuing.

Thanks for the welcome CWS.
I'm impressed with Your comment on Naples, my memorable experience of Naples is similar to my boarding in MXP, but with driving, there is a 2 lane road into the city but must be physically 5 vehicles wide... So why not use that 5 vehicle width for 5 vehicles meaning everybody goes nowhere fast as drivers nudge forward not wanting to concede their space.
I agree with your theory.

BCN now has dedicated and signposted Fast Track lanes for boarding (essentially a Tensabarrier post with sign pointing Fast Track to the left and General Boarding to the right, reaffirmed by a larger Fast Track sign adjacent to the desk).

Hi,
Question from a newly Gold member as i will be travelling from JFK to LHR soon.
As a Gold member, i am entitled to use First check-in desks which can be quite helpful in JFK.
Is there a First security fast track available too? And in that case, can Gold members use it - even if not travelling in F? The only fast track i know is the one for business but i am wondering if there is a separate one for first that Gold members can use?
