New addition to the Yorkshire Premier lounge at LBA. Not sure whether this replaces Old Spleckled Hwn or is in addition. Very nice though.

With that spelling, sounds like you have being sampling a few.

Ha, I think it was an indication of hurried typing rather than alcohol intake

Breakfast offer into at Newcastle

Flying next week from Newcastle - does anyone know what the current breakfast offerings are in the BA lounge please? Debating if I should have an early breakfast or just eat in the lounge. Many thanks.

Nope, that a London-only offering sadly. In EDI we've got Aspire and No 1 Lounges too, both of which have hot options, so I tend to use them in preference to BA Lounge (have PP through my Amex Plat).

Ah ok - I just felt that since that was listed in 2013 it may well have changed in the last 4 years. I'm on a special diet which is why I need to know.
Thanks.

Ok well I can have breakfast at home at stupid o clock or buy something in the departure then. Or just wait until I get to the loung at LHR but that might be a bit too long to wait.
Thanks.

There is porridge at NCL too, and if one particular individual makes it, far better than the thin gruel dispensed out of EDI.

LOL yes, never thought it looked too appealing c-w-s - although disappointing to not get decent porridge in Scotland! Normally a cheeky wee bacon roll (and visit stamp) from Aspire for me then switch to BA lounge next door for some juice and cereal whilst awaiting boarding call

I would urge you to counsel the BS manageress in EDI: she is of the firm belief that porridge is made with water, and that the use of milk is only for the effete and English. [Slight exaggeration]. In GLA they slip some milk in, I recall ABZ is also austere.

Ahh, that explains it.

A quick Google also reveals that Mumsnet is on your side too, c-w-s, which I'm sure will give you no end of reassurance/delight

(I particularly liked the oats+water=wallpaper paste comment!)
