A113400 used to book. Lets see how it goes. If i had my Wiz number the same code yields a higher price... I wonder why!!!

(Side note - my own personal guess, that use of that code might hold some risk, however slight, if using in Alabama or Georgia, which are the only two states which actually share a border with Florida. Again, this is simply a guess on my part, regarding use of A113400.) |
useful AVIS code
I found this code to give a good rate: X966353
No ID needed. |

Stackable Coupon Codes??
Specifically looking for current stackable (Weekend or Weekly) coupon codes for Canada. Many of the US codes are not accepted.
Ones I've tried: TUNA006 = 3rd wkend day free MUWA049 = $20 off wkend MUWA130 = $35 off weekly TUWA035 = 3rd wkend day free MUWA157-160 = dollars off for various length res TUGA001 MUEA003 |
Just used H855900, found through retailmenot.com, definitely legit, submitted by Avis themselves. Saved me $20, plus discounted GPS rental. $160 for saturday/sunday rental, insurance and LDW of a 12 passenger van.

That might be because the AWD number in your profile yields a higher contract rate because of how you joined Avis in the first place, if that makes sense. Keep in mind, you can ask the rez line to substitute a different AWD number than the one presently in your profile, and also to add a coupon code to your reservation too.

D005150
I have this code written down from years back. It still yields the lowest rate for a 9 day one-way rental in France. On the reservation it says some Additional mandatory Surcharges are not included, but all it listed is the underage surcharge. Also it said tax of one-way rental fee is not included in the estimate as it is based on location. Unlimited kilometers. The next code that yields a distant second good price is the Citi Group Leisure Travel A074800. Has anyone used the D005150 in recent months? |
Thanks USIrritated -- I will try that!

I'm wondering where the information came from stating that K816401 was a Hawaiian Airlines code. This is the first mention I've seen of it in this thread, and then there have been subsequent mentions of it as Hawaiian Air, but my guess is that the source for those mentions was this post that I quoted. I ask because I used it for a reservation, thinking it was a Hawaiian Airlines code. I was surprised when I had to call to make a change to the reservation and was asked by the reservations agent if the person renting the car was with the federal government. Coincidentally, it just so happens that this reservation WAS for someone who was on official government business, but I was surprised how the agent knew this. I asked the agent, and he responded that this discount code is a federal government code.
2) Hovered over "Book Travel" at the top of the page and clicked on Car Rentals which took me here. 3) Scrolled down to Avis/Find Avis Specials. (<<K816401 is part of the link!) 4) Which took me to avis.com with K816401 pre-filled into the AWD field on the main booking page. (<< because K816401 was part of the link) Maybe..... you transposed 2 numbers in your reservation.... the agent was looking at the wrong reservation... the agent fat-fingered the code when cross-referencing it with T&C... ??? I'm not saying these any of these things happened but you asked where the info came from that K816401 was for Hawaiian Airlines. This is where I got it. |

Think I'll need to either hope they don't read the fine print or give them a call to make sure it is valid "Offer valid at participating Avis U.S. Ski locations in CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, UT, WY, OR & WA and participating corporate locations in Canada. Offer subject to vehicle availability at time of rental and may not be available on some rates at some times. Vehicle must be returned to renting location" |

Code appears to be dead for real this time... :(
I've rented with it a few times in the Toronto area (YYZ and some city/counter locations) and never had an issue. Now when I put it in I just get the stock retail rate as though I didn't put a code in. Also I went to My Avis to view an upcoming reservation with this code and I got an error message: The rate code you entered requires an Avis World Wide Discount (AWD) number. Please go back and enter your AWD number or remove the rate code you entered. |

Also I went to My Avis to view an upcoming reservation with this code and I got an error message: So, to avoid being re-rating into unfathomable territory I'll be cancelling that reservation. Sucks though, I'm going to miss economy cars at $27.99, not to mention minivans for $45/day and luxury cars for $59 (which I never got the chance to use). |
A972200
Interesting. I have two upcoming reservations with this code and got the same error message noted above when I tried to view the res. And the website will not let me go through to the res to cancel it.
So I tried to make a new res, and thought what the heck, I'll try the code again. And it gives me the same huge discount on a new res. Anyone figure this one out? |
I just used A113400 State of FL employee rate-->EXCELLENT RATE!! in JFK for april 2011, i just want to know if i need to show an id or something at the time of the pick up.

Update:
I was getting the error message noted above. I logged into my Avis account and changed My Preferences to show A972200 as my AWD. Now when I retrieve my reservations I do not get the error message. And I does not matter if I search for my reservation logged in to my account or not. Hopefully this is the solution and this great code will continue to work. |

Thanks I'm not trying to be rude to you here, but many FlyerTalkers, including myself, resent when someone asks a question which has been asked and answered MANY times, on this and other threads. In this case, there have ELEVEN other posts (other than yours), in this thread alone, over the last six months, and if you go back one year, there have been TWENTY-NINE other posts, with information about A113400. Please be proactive for yourself, and when you see a very old, and continuing (meaning there are daily or almost daily submissions) thread, use the SEARCH feature, which is offered by FlyerTalk, at the top of each page, and put in the keyword(s) for what you are interested in. In this case, the keyword would simply be either "A113400," or "State of Florida employee," or something similar, and see what comes up. This will accomplish two things. First, it will get you the answer you seek much faster by showing you all the posts for that issue, and second, it will avoid cluttering up the thread with the same or similar questions over and over. Because this is a very important thread for frequent Avis renters (and other threads are similarly important for other, but similar, reasons for other FlyerTalkers), we do not want to mess it up by making threads longer and more tedious than they need to be because of repetitive postings for asked and answered issues. Repetitive posts make useful threads into cluttered threads, and of less interest to regular readers and posters. I hope you understand that I am trying to be constructive with this explanatory posting, for you and for others, and not trying to be intentionally critical of you personally. |

I got the rate to work again so maybe it was just blacked out over spring break. The weird thing now is that the reservation isn't appearing in My Avis, but I saved the e-mail confirmation and the reservation is still active, including my wizard number. I'll likely just plan on the car being there, and if I don't see my name on the board I'll go with someone else rather than risk flagging the code... |

Don't even try to use the State of FL code because Avis requires ID and will give you a hard time if you are not an employee entitled to use the discount.
Many people have used the Florida code outside of Florida and had good results. However, IMHO, if you have a Texas or Montana DL, and try to use the State of Florida code in Ohio, I would expect an odd look, at the very least. I have a Florida DL, and have used the code OUT OF STATE several times, with no issues. Of course, YMMV! |

This code is not working for me. It doesnt matter where or when I try the code, it comes back with the same crappy rate I get using my crappy code.
From what I understand, A972200, which WAS the code for Farmer's Insurance/Zurich Insurance (Zurich is parent company), and which I have used in the past, with success, has recently been discontinued. Try either A177253 (USAA), or D833357 (American Society of Travel Agents), or A074800 (Citicorp Leisure Travel), or W661100 (Choice Rewards). Hopefully one of those will give you a better rate. If not, please send me a private message, and I will offer you some other suggestions. |
See my experience below with A113400 I do not encourage anybody that is not a Florida State Employee to use the code .
Within the State of Florida I only get asked for ID at counter type of transactions , if you are a preferred member and the rate is built in into your profile and you are renting out of an Airport let's say Orlando or Fort Lauderdale. You will just pick up the car and go. (Do not even try to this in Tallahassee that is just asking for trouble, they will note you account) In my several out of the State trips not even once I have been asked for ID regardless if I had to go to the counter or not. Some consultants use the State rate when they were travelling on State related business. Traveling using the state rate does not give you milles, Avis credits nor will help you achieve any status beyon being a preferred member (I have rented hundreds of cars during the last 6 years) you can return the car in a different location without a surcharge (anywehere in the State of Florida, it worked in NY state for me as well) They won't charge you an underage surcharge if you are under 25* (make sure you have a prefered profile for this one, I also do not recomend counter transactions) |

Does anyone have any experience with expired coupon codes that are still being accepted by the website?
One such coupon code is UUGA026 from the Costco magazine that was supposed to expire in 2006: http://www.costcoconnection.com/conn...12/?pg=19#pg19 |

Has anyone used A679100 was asked to produce proof? Gosh, the rates at Big Island are astronomically high! Most other AWDs produce a $300+ weekly compact all in price tag! By the way, the Island Air code (D802300) was not competitive for the time I wanted. Base rate $738 for 16 days in September. $346 with A679100 (16 days). My corp rate is about $560. |

The Netjets code DID NOT work for pickup in MUC: got asked for a "Chairman's Club" card, since I didn't have it, she found me an alternate, "local", rate which was claimed to include insurance. Daily rate was slightly higher but overall not TOO different (about 190 Euros for a full size).
Ended up paying 335 euros when dropping off the car - 120E for half a tank of gas (!) and 45E of insurance which was supposedly included. What a scam (though I suppose I am loath to complain seeing as I was trying to use an Internet code, heh). At least I had a Jag. |
