Does anyone know if Lifemiles will waive cancellation fees for an award ticket due to COVID-19 concerns?
Unfortunately, barring an outright flight cancellation, Lifemiles will not waive cancel fees.
Just pay the $200 as a "self caution fee". (nobody is actually preventing you the passenger from flying as you booked).
In the future, it would be wise to invest in travel insurance.

Transferring Amex MR points will extend expiration of LM. Post #906 confirms this. Expiration date updates overnight, so wait 24 hours after the transferred miles have posted to LM.

Miles Expiration Policy valid from April 15th , 2018.
- Any miles accrual transaction in a member´s account in the Program extends the validity of the miles in the account of such member for a term of twelve (12) months from the date of such accrual of miles. Other transactions that may affect the balance of miles in a member’s account, including redemption transactions, will have no effect on them and will not extend the validity of the miles in such account. I am considering buying miles with a 150% bonus or a cost of 1.32 cents per mile. I need 3 R/T tickets LIT-EZE economy in June 2023. The cost at 30K each way using miles is about $800 R/T plus the $50 booking fee and I assume some taxes. Purchased tickets seem to run $1,200-$1,800 R/T
Is it worthwhile to buy points for this purpose?

I'm a new member here and tried to do my due diligence, but haven't found an answer for this. For the JFK-LIS route that is 35k points, has anyone tried using the screenshot method to put together a route on a different star alliance partner (ie. JFK-IST-LIS on TK or JFK-GVA-LIS on LX)? And does this result in the same 35k cost or the normal ~60k one?

Operating airline takes control over your ticket at T-24, so anything happens it is on the operator.

I'm attempting to buy miles to keep my current balance from expiring on 31-Dec-2022. I get to the payment screen, enter the CCV number of my stored VISA card, and check the two boxes and click on "Purchase LifeMiles" I get:

I'm thinking about booking a quick hop MEX-SJO-MEX in February. Does *G (on LH) get me any benefits when booking an XS fare?

- I've booked a flight using LM which happens to be Copa Air with a 23 hours layover in Panama with next flight to turkey. Is there a way to check-in my baggage onto next flight automatically without picking it up ?
- I have an infant on Lap and LM said they can't book it so have to contact the airline and airline says contact Avianca. Is my only option is to book a full seat even though I am carrying it ?
