2. there is a $18 daily parking charge ON TOP OF the already ridiculous Resort Fee - so we're now at almost $70 in fees, parking and tax before we even get to the room rate
4. Breakfast charge not credited, so it showed up on the room folio - needed to call down to guest services, who was completely baffled about Virtuoso and couldn't tell the difference between a breakfast credit and dining credit and needed to be told repeatedly until they figured it out and removed the breakfast charge

My experience with MGM Resorts is that the folks who take calls (I believe largely centralized for all hotels) need a lot of hand holding in applying credits. The default seems to be that credits are NOT applied, and you have to call from the room "I am looking at my folio on the TV and before I check out, I need these credits posted..." is a ritual I go through on EVERY visit.

In the midst of 4 night in Las Vegas. Night one at Conrad, $79 FHR rate and got the $115 FHR FB credit, $50 HH Gold credit, and $66 FHR breakfast credit. It was just me and I checked in late on night one, so skipped using the FHR breakfast credit. None of the charges came off the bill automatically, but the agent was proactive at checkout. Now at Luxor on a rate with $30/daily F&B credit, and the crediting is automated and instant which is nice (not FHR of course).

Interesting, as DTF is not on the MGM participating outlet list.
With regard to parking, if you have some Hyatt status you can match to mLife and get mLife Pearl which will get you free parking. If you can show your Pearl status before check-out, they will remove the parking fees.

The issue with applying the dining credits is unacceptable and I will be writing my Virtuoso account manager to discuss this as I needed to call down for every restaurant credit, and on top of that, the people answering the phones are either clueless about these programs, or insist on nonsense interpretations like the "daily" breakfast credit is actually a one-time credit, or your total dining credit is just $100 including breakfast . It's not the customer's job to do training classes, so I am definitely going to bring up this issue.

Checked into the Bellagio last night (12/22) for a 2 night stay. Booked a premier king and was upgraded to an awesome corner room overlooking the fountains.

Waldorf Astoria FHR
Hotel: Waldorf Astoria, 4 nights, Tuesday through Saturday
Room: Booked King w/Strip View
Special: 4th night free, free valet
Checkin: Checked in around 2p, room was ready
Upgrade: Upgraded to a junior suite on a renovated floor. Offered a 1 bedroom suite for $250/night, declined.
Late Checkout: Checked out around 1p
Breakfast Credit: $60/day. Credit was good a Zen Kitchen or room service. Zen was good, portion size tended to be small. Sometimes they charged for tea and coffee, sometimes they didn't. Service was good. Salmon bagel was best, pancakes close second.
Credits: $125 food and beverage credit which we used for high tea on the first day. $50/day HH diamond credit. $5 wifi credit.
Comment: All credits applied correctly except for the last day's breakfast credit which was quickly taken care of. They didn't get notice of the free valet from Amex, I sent them my reservation email showing the valet was included and they immediately corrected it.
We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Location, perfect. Easy access. Ambiance, exceptional. Service, impeccable. They treated us very, very well. Our room was 1421 on a remodeled floor. The bathroom was phenomenal. Any criticisms of this room just make me sound like a Karen. 9.5 on a 10 scale. The ability to text the front desk was great, they were very responsive. The twice daily room service was great. (upon request) Valet was super fast, we could see the valet from our room, we'd call down and request our car and in 5 minutes we could see it being pulled up front. House car was very nice when available. Sky bar was nice but the music tended to get turned up and they were definitely trying to draw a younger hipper crowd than us. Good way to use the HH credit. Two cocktails is $50 easily. You do have to switch elevators but we hardly ever waited for an elevator, they are wicked fast. Overall a great way to visit Las Vegas, no smoking, no casino, luxurious, top notch service.

Hotel: Conrad at Resorts World Las Vegas
Room:Booked King Bed Premium Room
Checkin: Checked in around 6pm (after arriving from Death Valley)
Upgrade: Upgraded to Strip View King Suite
Late Checkout: Used, checked out in the very last minute
Breakfast Credit: $33 per person (2 people) at The Kitchen (didn't use)
Credits: $25 per person at Suns Out, Buns Out or The Kitchen, $125 F&B credit. Used the Diamond credit at SOBO, used the F&B credit at the Famous Foods food court
Comment: Recently stayed 2 (Sunday & Monday) nights at the Conrad. I booked the two nights separately through FHR (one was prepaid for the $200 AMEX Plat credit, the other I selected "pay at hotel" to use my AMEX Hilton Aspire $250 resort credit) When I arrived, they treated both reservations as two separate reservations, so I got the FHR benefits for the room each night. The first night (prepaid) was pre-upgraded (I received a message in the Hilton app saying we were upgraded to a King Bed Suite), but our second night was only upgraded to a Strip View room. When we arrived around 6pm, the check in line was super long, and there was no one at the Diamond check in desk. I wasn't sure if we were allowed to use the VIP check in counter, but my bf inquired and they said since they were available, they could check us in. We managed to get both nights upgraded to a Strip View King Suite (so we didn't have to check out/check back in again). The check in person kept emphasizing that, because we had two separate reservations, our credits were good for each stay. The sheet of paper they handed us said the breakfast credit was only for The Kitchen, but the $25 Diamond credit could be used at either The Kitchen or Suns out, Buns out. We were also able to get two glasses of sparking wine at the lobby bar each day. We used the $125 credit each night at the Famous Food food court, sampling a bit of everything. The sushi was good, everything else was a bit meh. The Kitchen credit could only be used for dine-in, so we used the $25 SOBO credit for breakfast instead (we were working from " home" (Vegas), so couldn't really spend time dining in for breakfast) each day. We took advantage of the late check out, and wasn't bothered by housekeeping at all.
The hotel room was super nice (we're not used to suites), we loved the Strip View at night, and the hotel gym (used by all three properties) was one of the nicest hotel gyms we've seen (had 6 Peloton bikes and 2 actual squat racks). The hotel has free parking, which was key for us, since we were in Death Valley for the weekend. They also had a Hertz desk in the Hilton lobby, so we were able to drop our car off there (Although, it was a bit confusing to figure that out). Upon check out, they confirmed that everything was taken care of with the credits except for the tip at the Lobby Bar (for the welcome drinks) and the resort fee. A few days later, the Aspire resort credit took care of the charges, but I noticed that the credits weren't fully applied for the first night. I did call the hotel and they said they were going to issue a credit, but I am still waiting for that to come in.
Overall, a great property/stay and perfect use of all the credits (Amex Plat $200, FHR benefits, Amex Aspire $250). I would assume because we had weekday stays that the upgrades were available, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again to use up the credits next year, especially as WFH continues to drag on. (Not complaining, though!!

Having not seen the pre-renovated room I can only say that everything in the room was in great shape, saw a few wear marks here and there but not like has been described by other reviewers. The colors seemed lighter than throughout some of the other parts of the hotel. One employee asked us what floor we were on and when we said 14th he said "ah one of the renovated floors, those rooms are nice."

Question to those who are staying in Hilton/Conrad and also getting $25 Breakfast credit as a Dimond/Platinum member. How do you connect your Hilton membership with FHR benefits, can you do that on amextravel website or any other way to do it online, so that I can check beforehand on my app what room upgrade I am getting? Many thanks!

there seems to be "additional property fees" for every las vegas FHR hotel out there ($40-50) that is payable at check in
so are people paying this or also getting this somehow waived? (since it's not prepaid as part of the amextravel booking)
