Right, they just use the Della's name but the food comes to Seabreeze Cafe.

Honestly, I just avoid Delano and MB now since their FD agents have been unhelpful most of the time.

Any one know if the resort fee and incidental charge will earn 5x points paying with Amex Plat card?

It won't. Only the prepay transaction which comes through as an Amex Travel charge earns 5x, charges at the hotel earn as a normal hotel transaction which is 1x on Platinum.

Note that you can pay for an FHR stay with any Amex card, doesn't have to be the Platinum, so if you have another card which earns points you'd prefer you can use that to pay on property. Particularly interesting if you have the Green card which earns bonus points on all travel transactions, or the Marriott or Hilton cards for FHR stays at those brands.

Thanks, that's great information to have. I will pay with Hilton Amex since I am staying at Conrad.

I don't know what Hilton Amex you have, but if it's the Aspire, it will also trigger the $250 resort credit, assuming you haven't already used it.
However, they denied me the additional $50.00 food and beverage credit for being diamond. Hopefully you'll have better luck, though the FHR have been pretty cheap, so I was still happy.

They should also hand you a welcome letter when you check in, which you can take to the bar for 2 glasses of champagne. However, make sure to check your folio upon checkout. I was charged $12 per glass. However, they quickly issued the credits and apologized. Good Luck.

For my tastes, both Della's and Seabreeze manage the near impossible, which is screwing up breakfast fare. I mean, how do you mess up eggs and omelets? Well, have breakfast here and you'll see! What I do is just get coffee, the Fuji water and a bunch of stuff at that little coffee place near the lobby--$60 bucks adds up quickly, as it does anywhere on the Strip.

I noticed the $100 dining credit used to apply automatically in the past, but, for whatever reason, it didn't the last time. Unless it's sorted out during checkout, the only other easy way to rectify errors is to email your host. Short of that, it'd probably require some effort and patience to have it adjusted through their general CSR numbers. So, good luck!

Bellagio. Booked cheapest King. Sunday arrival. Went to VIP checkin off of conservatory at 2:30.

Multiple people with no clue on FHR. No list of restaurants. Asked about upgrade (I’m Mlife Plat although via status match). Had no clue. Ultimately offered fountain view but room not ready (2:30pm) so declined. Just a poor experience.

Update: Despite being the base room - rooms are nice - mine was large by Vegas non-suite standards - and appeared to be either recently remodeled or renovated and in tip top shape. The bathrooms/showers are excellent.

If you don't have reservations for Sadelle's for breakfast - and they are difficult to get - prepare for a very long walk-in line, 1 hour+. If it is 1 or 2 of you without kids - highly suggest bar seating - those seats turn over quickly.

Went to Michael Mina's for dinner - was excellent albeit very expensive.

My other pet peeve is the bill - it doesn't show the credits except the resort fee $5/night. Debated at check out if I actually got them (didn't save receipts - yes should have). She goes - yes I see them here. I said - well I don't - can I get something in writing - I eventually did.

Moved to Mirage for a slot tournament - not FHR stay. Wow - stay away - practically every restaurant closed including CPK - and tiny rooms - and and barely fit you in bathroom/shower - no plugs outlets next to bed......

Had a few great FHR stays in Vegas earlier this month. Conrad ($149 base), Crockfords (around $300 base), Nomad ($119 base). Nice to pair the Crockfords rate with my $200 Amex Plat credit before the end of the year, and the Conrad bill was covered fully by the $250 Amex Aspire credit at check out. I was upgraded to suites at all the properties after booking a base room. The breakfast credit situation at Conrad/Crockfords is annoying- the kitchen is the worst restaurant on property. Suns Out, Buns Out was pretty good. $50 Diamond credit applied, but was told only for the Kitchen, SOBO, or room service for Crockford. $125 credit instead of $100 is nice, and great to use on the street food. I made a video of my NoMad experience- I think the location is great, room was nice, and spending $100 credit at Eataly is never a bad thing! Food at Primrose for breakfast was fantastic.

I stayed at Nomad and Delano again. Contrary to last time, I enjoyed Delano a bit more. No broken sink doors, and the check-in agent was very nice and proactively looked for upgrades, got a strip view room. The room seems a bit better, and the bed more comfy. Rivea was not open on a Thursday (Fri-Sun only). Used the $100 credit at Catch (Aria). It was decent, but I prefer Bavette and Rivea.

Nomad upgraded to Atelier again, but less of a view. I preferred the Aria / pool view last time. They also had a 2-3hr water outage and didn't proactively offer any compensation.

Did a big trip with my friend for his 21st, one night Conrad, one night Cosmo, two nights Aria through Myvegas, one night Delano:
CONRAD
Room: Wednesday Night, December 15th, Booked lowest price 1 king bed premium, 3 days or so in advance got upgrade to strip view, on arrival upgraded to suite with strip view.

Checkin: Checked in at around 7pm, had a great experience, tipped after my room got assigned, the guy was super helpful.
Upgrade: Normal room -> Strip view suite
Late Checkout: Checked out at 1pm, housekeeping came but no biggie.
Breakfast Credit: Used at Suns Out Buns Out, $75
Welcome Credit: Had two sodas at the lobby bar since I don't drink, wasnt a problem.
Credits: $125 used at Wallys, additional $100 from Hilton Gold applied to entire bill including tip. After a $210 dinner and $75 breakfast, we spent $56 including resort fee, which is insanity.
Comment: I absolutely loved Conrad, it is an essential visit on every Vegas trip from now on. The value is ridiculous, the service was phenomenal, and I absolutely adored our room. Believe it or not, favorite room of the trip, which may be a surprise given that we booked...

Cosmopolitan
Room: Wraparound Terrace Suite Fountain View
Checkin: 1PM, room wasn't ready, walked around, I had to call in, room was ready, they gave us a garbage room on the 28th floor facing the Bellagio spa tower after asking for a higher floor, I complained, they moved us to the 39th floor and gave us $75. I was angry tbh, but I was kind about my complaints and they took care of it.
Upgrade: None, downgrade at first arguably with how bad of a room we were initially given.
Late Checkout: 4pm.
Breakfast Credit: $75 at Wicked Spoon.
Welcome Credit: None
Credits: Got $100 FB credit converted, but I had amex concierge call in and do it personally because my friend I went with is immuno compromised. Didn't seem like a big deal.
Comment: I was disappointed. The service was mediocre, Red Plate, where we went for dinner, is a skip unless you want to buy extremely expensive live seafood, and this is a personal thing, but I was too scared to go on the terrace for a long time because of the height. But, for checking in with FHR, I knew an upgrade wasn't guaranteed, but making me wait two hours, not notifying me that my room was ready until I called and asked, and giving us a garbage room on top of it? Really weak for a supposedly top tier hotel.

Aria was fine. Completely unnoteworthy, we did the $20 trick, got upgraded to strip view two queen, was a fine view, I liked the bathtub layout but that was it.

Delano
Room: Two queen suite

Checkin: 12:30PM, told to wait, called at 2:30PM
Upgrade: Two queen suite, strip view.
Late Checkout: 2pm
Breakfast Credit: $60 at Dellas Kitchen (Mediocre)
Welcome Credit: NA
Credits: $100, used at Mayfair Supper Club (literally the best restaurant of my life, please eat here)
Comment: I hate to be negative towards the Delano. It's one of my favorite hotels on the strip, and no matter the room, I have been impressed on the past, until this trip. We walk in and the room hits me with an overwhelming smell of weed. I'm unenthused about this, I hate that smell, and I've dealt with it in dorms for years, and I come to Vegas for luxury rooms. I go to the VIP lounge, talk to the person, and they were really dismissive. They gave me $150 resort credit since I asked, but there were no other strip views available, nor airport views. It felt like they phoned it in, and on the call to the room person, they said "Its cause their room smells like weed, or something I guess". I'm MGM platinum now, and here with FHR, and I feel like I want my room to not smell like weed at a supposedly luxury hotel. We didn't get our room changed, and housekeeping didn't refresh the shampoo and conditioner, which is disappointing, and I found a stain on my sheets. For a hotel I love to defend, I just was overwhelmingly disappointed. I complained at check out, and this great guy helped, he was either a manager or a step below, and although they couldn't give me more than the $150, he said someone will call me and make sure to "right this wrong", and took notes the whole time. We'll see how that conversation goes, and I'll update y'all.

Despite my disappointments in some rooms, I still had an absolutely outstanding time! I still love Las Vegas, the Mayfair was to die for, and Wallys at Conrad was also exceptional. The real surprise was Conrad as a whole - I've heard mixed reviews, but its clear they've gotten their stuff together and I really recommend them, especially with Hilton status and FHR.

At the Aria now on a Virtuoso rate, but the same issues are likely to apply to a FHR stay given the similar benefits:

1. only one category for upgrades, a strip view - once those rooms are gone, they will refuse any upgrade request to any other category. We're about a 1/4 mile from the elevator with a pool and freeway view
2. there is a $18 daily parking charge ON TOP OF the already ridiculous Resort Fee - so we're now at almost $70 in fees, parking and tax before we even get to the room rate
3. $30x2 breakfast credit can only be used in the casino floor takeout deli, or the restaurant upstairs and only until 11AM. We waited an hour in line for a table, only to be seated after 11AM and told 'no breakfast' - but in the end, an amazing manager and superb server made the experience wonderful and tried to get things fixed for us
4. Breakfast charge not credited, so it showed up on the room folio - needed to call down to guest services, who was completely baffled about Virtuoso and couldn't tell the difference between a breakfast credit and dining credit and needed to be told repeatedly until they figured it out and removed the breakfast charge
5. Dinner credit of $100 used at Din Tai Fung, and was expecting another call to guest services, but it seemed to get credited properly
6. If you have an electric car, forget about charging here. There are only 4 EV charging stalls in this massive garage, and all are constantly occupied by people who are plugged in and long since finished charging, or in the case of one arrogant jerk of a Tesla owner, parked in a spot and not even plugged in. The Waldorf has more EV stations, but only valet parking, so that's not an option unless you want to pay extra just to charge.

The property is definitely older and more tired looking than our last visit, and we probably should have opted for the Wynn at $168 per night Virtuoso/FHR with the same credits and no parking fee - the difference would have only been $28 per night in the end, and the experience likely that much better. Live and learn....

You don't think calling a Wraparound Terrace Suite Fountain View a "garbage" room a bit much? I can understand your disappointment with the bell tower in your way, but at least you weren't a douche to the front desk. The bell tower is there, which means there are going to be guests that have this issue. Nothing to take personally. Just a heads up, if you are in the BLVD tower and you have this room, ask for the 36th floor and up...

Also, you were lucky in getting the spa credit converted. In the past two weeks, I have tried to get the Cosmo to get the spa credit converted to an F&B credit. 1st time was through Amex Concierge - shut down. 2nd time was through Amex Travel Platinum Services - also shut down I gave COVID as a reason both times. I'm going to try again when I check in, so we will see. Many others are having difficulty getting it converted at the Cosmo as well. It really is an exception and not the rule.

How did you get $100 Gold credit for a one night stay? I thought even Diamond only got $50 per day.

Interesting, as DTF is not on the MGM participating outlet list.

Ah, with the usual caveats of YMMV and Vegas treats people very differently, my experience has always been that anything charged to the room will be credited, either automatically or manually upon request. For example, I can have breakfast anywhere, e.g., Bellagio's buffet, and request, say, the Delano to credit it with the breakfast allowance. Within reason, MGM properties' FD, I'd imagine CET is the same, has considerable discretion to credit most of the dining charges that will appear on your folio.
