With regard to parking, if you have some Hyatt status you can match to mLife and get mLife Pearl which will get you free parking. If you can show your Pearl status before check-out, they will remove the parking fees.
My experience with MGM Resorts is that the folks who take calls (I believe largely centralized for all hotels) need a lot of hand holding in applying credits. The default seems to be that credits are NOT applied, and you have to call from the room "I am looking at my folio on the TV and before I check out, I need these credits posted..." is a ritual I go through on EVERY visit.
