*** Limited time offer ***
Amex EveryDay 15000 MR points after $1000 in 3 months

The 15,000 MR points offer is still available via referral from someone who already has the card. See or ask for this in the discussion. Or look at the Amex referral page: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...posting-3.html.

These are the direct links on americanexpress.com. I have not scoured the internet to seek better offers. Note that both offers include this standard language:

If we identify you as currently having an American Express® Card account, you may not be eligible for this welcome bonus offer. This offer is also not available to applicants who have or have had this product.
Opening the application link in a Private or Incognito browser window, and not supplying any information about existing accounts, should prevent American Express from identifying you as currently having a card during the application process. They can still instantly determine this using your Social Security number, but in practice this may not occur.

Everyday Preferred (Groceries 3X, Gasoline 2X, General 1X; 50% bonus for 30 transactions in a billing cycle): - LINK

EARN 15,000 POINTS

EARN 10,000 POINTS

NO ANNUAL FEE
**You can now do a product change from AMEX Blue to the regular fee free AMEX EveryDay card. Unsure about other AMEX products that you can change TO the EveryDay card** This would probably preclude you from receiving any sign-up bonus, but moving from the Blue to this card is a + for some.

Use this calculator to work out whether you're better off with the preferred or regular card.

Nope, kinda worried that they'll say my transactions aren't legitimate or something.

I just received a card and made a few transactions. Two already posted, but the tracker shows 0 and 16 pending (I do have 16 pending). What does it mean?

I'd contact them. I've had really small transactions ranging from 20c at Starbucks to $2.75 on a ticket vending machine go through with no problems. There's on reason gift cards should be excluded.

It's been about a year-ish since the EDP or ED card debuted... just wondering if anyone has called about a possible retention bonus on the card?

I have the same issue with my new Everyday card.

All of the pending transactions are shown on the tracker but once they are posted, none of them shows up.

I've noticed that posted transactions sometimes take many days to show up on the tracker. I had 3 purchases made on the weekend one week ago. They posted last Tuesday, the same day my statement closed (and they made it onto that statement). The tracker didn't show the first of those 3 purchases until midday ET Saturday, and didn't show all of the purchases until midday ET Sunday (a full week after the purchase was made, and 5 days after the purchase posted!), ie yesterday.

Last statement period I had no issue with the tracker. But this statement period it seems that the tracker is lagging about 7-8 days behind from when the purchases were made.

One of my purchases showed up in a tracker 6 days after the transaction.

Question: My mom received an offer for a 25k Everyday Card which does not include the "cardmember must not have received a bonus for the card already" language.

My mom doesn't want the card. If I apply using her RSVP code and I've received an Everyday bonus already, will I get the 25k again?

AFAIK, this won't work. RSVP codes are tied to the invitee and the one bonus per bonus per lifetime rule is a hard and fast rule.

If your mother agrees, submit an application in her name and request a supplementary card in your name. Use the supplementary card to meet the required spend, pay the bill, transfer the points to one of your airline accounts.

I guess the whole "1.5 MR per $ spend" won't be as appealing anymore when Freedom Unlimited strikes this month. EDP is still a niche card though.

There is still the 4.5 points per dollar feature at supermarkets as a point of differentiation.

I don't look at any card in a vacuum. I look first at my rewards objectives, and assess which cards will achieve those, and then at how a new card would fit with what I already have. I am not a UA/Star Alliance flyer so Ultimate Rewards is useful, but not my #1 choice in most scenarios.
