This week's flights:
DEN-LAX, E75, Saturday, 6pm: Cleared at 12 hours LAX-LHR, AA138, 777-200, Saturday, 930pm: SWU did not clear. BA had cancelled an 380 service earlier that evening - essentially taking all other available seats out of inventory. (was #3 of 6 on the list at departure, no one cleared) EXP, somewhere between 250k and 300k rolling LP. |

Did you get a complimentary PE seat given your SWU did not clear into business?
(and besides I had a exit row with no seat in front of me - I probably would have keep that over a PE seat, legroom is far more important to my comfort that seat width) |
Last week:
Platinum Pro DFW > LAX 6am flight 1 of 2 in our party cleared at the gate. The irony is we were traveling with a 3rd and bought the paid upgrade in hopes the 2 of us would get the comp, but we essentially bought out the 2nd comp upgrade lol. Oh well. |
I've made a rookie mistake and I was wondering if anyone can help.
I have no AA status, and I booked CDG-CLT-LAS // LAX-MIA-GIG on Economy, and I upgraded the international flights with miles + copay. The domestic flights are still on the waitlist. I assumed that mileage upgrades would be ahead of complimentary upgrades at the airport waitlist, which would mean that I had a good chance of clearing those domestic flights. After reading the forum, I understand that I will be at the bottom of the list - that is to say no chance. After I requested the mileage upgrades, the paid upgrade offers disappeared from the APP and from the Manage My Booking page. Do I have any way to pay for those domestic upgrades? If I cancel the waitlist, would the APP display the offers again despite the confirmed upgrade on the international leg? The only other alternative would be to cancel the ticket, buy it again, upgrade the domestic flights then request the milage upgrade, which would mean I lose the $600 copay already in. Before you say anything, that's my mistake and I should have just booked C if I won't fly on Economy... Thanks for any help. B |

Last night, ORD-SNA, last flight of the day. I was 4th on the list, 2 seats available. First person on the list took their seat. Numbers 2 and 3 had same last name. GA called them up to the gate, turns out they were a couple. I presume the GA asked if one of them wanted the remaining seat. They must have said no, as I got the final seat. I truly appreciate that couple's devotion to each other :)

Wishful thinking. In February, I just became an EXP for the first time.
