Thanks! I hope so, but will report back on here after the fact. If it is the full menu then I really must try and remember to take photos too

True. I was on a 772 LAX-MIA a few weeks ago and had premium transcon service. Main difference is on the ground where you do not get AC access when flying 2 class birds.

AA recently started selling the 772 as Flagship Business so now pax do qualify for AC access and also, AA is now offering AC access even to First Class pax non traveling Flagship routes.

Is there a source; as econ asked is this valid for all Domestic First passengers?
AFAIK, the new AC admission allowance is for all premium cabin passengers traveling on international flights so solely domestic itineraries ( within the USA ) don't qualify.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Not domestic F, but many routes that previously didn't qualify such as SJU, CUN, and NAS will now qualify for AC access starting 4/1. Then again, service is so limited at most of these clubs that it really isn't a big deal. Technically, SJU isn't international since PR is considered a US territory but SJU will now get access as well.

This must be very recent - flying on a 772 MIA-LAX Jan 8th I was reminded and denied entry at the AC.... just looked at the AA site for changes starting Apr 1. It mentions no change expanding access beyond 777-300s. "

Qualifying First and Business

For a limited time: Starting April 1, 2021, qualifying international flights will include flights between the U.S. and Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico. Includes customers in First or Business on a qualifying departing international or transcontinental flight marketed and operated by American or a oneworld® airline.*

Qualifying transcontinental flights

3-class nonstop flights between:

  • New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX)
  • JFK and San Francisco (SFO)
  • LAX and Miami (MIA) – traveling on Boeing 777-300 aircraft only
