Remember it is possible to get the 25k bonus for switching to the black card in advance. I applied to switch around 9/1, 25k hit around 10/1; got the card around 10/20. I have no idea why they did this for me, I really didn't even ask for the bonus ahead I'm just shy of 4mm.

The miles in the MM counter will undoubtedly be like those in the Miles-to-Date counter - they will not change or reset (though if you lose your account from inactivity, you will technically lose them too,) and they will not be worth anything (non-redeemable); they merely reflect a counter to see how far one is from the next MM threshold.

I hope (and suggest) you can keep from crossing that threshold until 1/1/12 so you can have one more year on your SWUs. (Some of us have been unable to do just that, and have SWUs expiring in 2013 instead of 2014 - not the worst thing that can happen to one, but... mildly galling to a FlyerTalker.)

I know there is daily limit on transfer SPG to AA on SPGs side.

Anyone knows if there is such a restriction on Wyndham? Unlikely, but not a big problem as Im moving medium amounts from several Wyndham accts.

Biggest question is if there could be an incoming daily (or weekly as they transfer weekly I think) max on AA side?

Mileage Multiplier usually posts the same day you buy it.

You can trade them in under certain circumstances. Read the section under "Moderator's Note" in the first post of this thread.

any one tried trading in 4 swu's that international addresses get for gold for the 35000 aa miles?

I don't think so. I transferred 200K WR points on 10/23 - didn't know what else to do with them.

I'd happily do that sort of a trade if I saw it on Coupon Connection. (i.e I'd offer up the 35,000 miles)...unfortunately I guess this is out of the question with the 15,000 annual sharing limit.

I think the Elite bonus miles for an 11/30 flight will count - asked about the EUR11 bonus on a 11/29 flight and received this response:

Thank you for participating in the EUR11 promotion. As you requested, we
have verified that you will indeed qualify for this offer, and the bonus
miles earned will count toward your Million Miler status since travel is
before December 1, 2011.

Based on this, it seems that if the mile transaction date is before 12/1, it will count toward the Million Miler status, no matter when the miles actually appear in the account. Has anyone confirmed this ? I mean, do we know which logic (option #1 or #2 below) AA will use starting on December when posting miles to our accounts ?

Option #1:
if (transaction_date before 12/1/2011)
<Program to Date Miles> += transaction_miles;

Option #2:
if (<today> is before 12/1/2011)
<Program to Date Miles> += transaction_miles;

I spoke to an AA representative, and she said that all miles with a transaction date before 12/1/11 will count towards MM status no matter when they arrive at AA. I asked her if credit card miles transferred over before 12/1/11 but later one returned some things that caused a mileage deficit, could one lose MM status? She said she needed to talk to a superior. She returned and advised me to be sure I had an excess of miles in case a December credit card statement had a deficit of miles. I thought that reply seemed unlikely but it certainly would be protection if one had a surplus beyond a MM. Hope this is helpful
