Award Charts:
(see note below for definition of "Continental USA", "SE Asia" and "South Pacific" )
SE Asia-SE Asia: 17,500 Y, 25,000 J 35,000 F
North Asia-SE Asia: 22,500 Y 60,000 J, 75,000 F
SE Asia-Middle East/India 25,000 Y 65,000 J 85,000 F
SE Asia-South Pacific 30,000 Y 65,000 J 90,000 F
SE Asia-Europe 42,500 Y 110,00 J 160,000 F
North Asia-Europe 65,000 Y 175,000 J 240,000 F
Middle East-Europe 60,000 Y, 160,000 J 210,000 F
Continental USA-North Asia: 40,000 Y 80,000 J 110,000 F
Continental USA-SE Asia/India: 47,500 Y 100,000 J 130,000 F
Continental USA-South Pacific 70,000 Y 145,000 J 190,000 F

Note: Chart only allows contiguous US and Alaska as "USA", however, AS connecting flights to Hawaii/Canada/Mexico are allowed. No chart for USA-Europe (though in theory you could redeem SIN-USA or USA-SIN routing on SQ onestops involving Europe and get off the plane in FRA/MAN, pretty high price in miles though). Stopover in SIN not allowed on regional awards (Intra-Asia,including South Pacific) not touching US.
"North Asia" includes China (PEK/PVG) as per latest update by AS. South Pacific is Australia/New Zealand

SQ has recently announced a new fifth freedom routing within Europe, serving a flight between FCO and CPH. Would love to try SQ on that route using AS miles but it seems the award availability is still blocked, right? Or it is because intra-European award is not possible to book?

The pandemic is mostly over in the northern hemisphere with millions of people already being fully vaccinated, so they should start bringing back their award seats…

You couldn’t even book intra Europe SQ flights with AS miles before the pandemic, a simple look at AS’ award chart would confirm this.

This is also a temporary route. No, AS is not going to change their award chart for a route SQ is going to run for a few weeks…

Honestly, OP, what’s the problem with using KF miles? SQ partners with all the banks, shouldn’t be too difficult. Are you like heavily into AS miles with no credit cards?

The issue I've had with KF awards is it's extremely difficult to cancel them and get a refund.

It looks like bookable SQ award inventory is back using AS miles, through I've only verified it on the LAX-NRT 5th freedom route. It would be great if more availability comes back on SIN-USA nonstops soon, especially as Singapore has plans to reopen to US tourists via vaccinated travel lane flights.

I hope this partnership continues!

And, while only speaking for myself, it can also be quite an adventure when requesting the 24 hour refund on paid fares per the US DOT on flights to and fro the USA.

KF is not Blue1, I take it?

Looking forward to a VTL SQ flight on AS points.

So what's the status these days with SQ awards? Where do they make announcements about pulling/replacing inventory?

I don’t understand- what sort of announcement are you expecting? AS isn’t going to do a flourish of trumpets and 21 gun salute to announce that there’s SQ availability on JFK-FRA, or an engraved invitation to you to start booking an award. As previously posted you can see there’s availability on LAX-NRT so AS isn’t blocking anything. SQ is responsible for what partner availability is visible to partners like AS, are you expecting THEM to give you an engraved invitation? Or what exactly?

Without previous poster's unnecessary snark, the answer is that you shouldn't expect any announcements. Best you can hope for is posts in appropriate FT fora. If there's an award in which you're interested, best to just keep searching.

No award touching SIN allowed for partners so long as the transit restrictions stay in SIN.

Assuming we cannot book the Singapore Skysuites with Alaska Miles, what would you consider the "best" business or FC product we actually can book with Alaska Miles?
