Award Charts:
(see note below for definition of "Continental USA", "SE Asia" and "South Pacific" )
SE Asia-SE Asia: 17,500 Y, 25,000 J 35,000 F
North Asia-SE Asia: 22,500 Y 60,000 J, 75,000 F
SE Asia-Middle East/India 25,000 Y 65,000 J 85,000 F
SE Asia-South Pacific 30,000 Y 65,000 J 90,000 F
SE Asia-Europe 42,500 Y 110,00 J 160,000 F
North Asia-Europe 65,000 Y 175,000 J 240,000 F
Middle East-Europe 60,000 Y, 160,000 J 210,000 F
Continental USA-North Asia: 40,000 Y 80,000 J 110,000 F
Continental USA-SE Asia/India: 47,500 Y 100,000 J 130,000 F
Continental USA-South Pacific 70,000 Y 145,000 J 190,000 F

Note: Chart only allows contiguous US and Alaska as "USA", however, AS connecting flights to Hawaii/Canada/Mexico are allowed. No chart for USA-Europe (though in theory you could redeem SIN-USA or USA-SIN routing on SQ onestops involving Europe and get off the plane in FRA/MAN, pretty high price in miles though). Stopover in SIN not allowed on regional awards (Intra-Asia,including South Pacific) not touching US.
"North Asia" includes China (PEK/PVG) as per latest update by AS. South Pacific is Australia/New Zealand

SQ award availability appears to be back across all routes, but only in Y - except for the fifth freedom routes (eg NRT/LAX) previously available which still appear to have availability in J on some dates.

SQ almost never releases non-fifth freedom long haul rewards

I assume you mean in premium cabins, which is true, but they had been available for some routes (I booked a SIN/AKL F award). However, they were available previously intra-Asia so we will just have to wait and see if anything materialises.

Pre-pandemic they were widely available on AS (and other carriers as well, though only rarely on UA). Slightly higher price than KF, but you did not have to deal with SQ to change or cancel, which is a huge plus because SQ can be very difficult to deal with.

Just booked 3 seats LAX-SIN-BKK (business) in early July for 100K AS each. Seats not available in any class through KF. Reservation pulls up confirmed on sq.

I booked 2x business class on JFK-SIN non-stop in September just the other day. Availability matched what SQ website shows for "saver" level awards. I replaced reservations that I had on CX because I have no confidence that Cathay/Hong Kong SAR will get their act together by September. It was 2x the price, but there is no better way to travel to SIN from New York in my opinion.

I couldn’t find nonstop JFKSIN availability at all… congratulations!

Remember to also check EWR-SIN as SQ now serve both airports. Unless you have to drive/park your own car this adds flexibility. Midweek flights seem to be easier than weekend. I am very flexible on dates, which helps.
DAK.

Also to keep in mind that JFK is currently scheduled until end of Oct. After that, only EWR is available, unless they decide to extend JFK. YVR also ends in Oct.

Apologies if this has been brought up before, but do I need to call the call center to book multi-city awards (i.e a one-way with a stopover in Singapore) on Singapore Airlines? I'm able to find availability on each leg when using the search engine but it zeroes out whenever I select multi-city.

As long as one leg is touching the US, it should work.

I was under the impression that you can book intra-SE Asia itineraries (e.g. BKK-SIN-CGK) with a stopover in Singapore, is that not the case?
