Alaska Airlines (AS) partnership with Singapore Airlines (SQ)

Earning

Beginning September 27, 2017.
For earning rates See Partner Page

Eligible flight numbers (No Silkair)

0001–0999

Burning:

Award Charts:
(see note below for definition of "Continental USA", "SE Asia" and "South Pacific" )
SE Asia-SE Asia: 17,500 Y, 25,000 J 35,000 F
North Asia-SE Asia: 22,500 Y 60,000 J, 75,000 F
SE Asia-Middle East/India 25,000 Y 65,000 J 85,000 F
SE Asia-South Pacific 30,000 Y 65,000 J 90,000 F
SE Asia-Europe 42,500 Y 110,00 J 160,000 F
North Asia-Europe 65,000 Y 175,000 J 240,000 F
Middle East-Europe 60,000 Y, 160,000 J 210,000 F
Continental USA-North Asia: 40,000 Y 80,000 J 110,000 F
Continental USA-SE Asia/India: 47,500 Y 100,000 J 130,000 F
Continental USA-South Pacific 70,000 Y 145,000 J 190,000 F

Note: Chart only allows contiguous US and Alaska as "USA", however, AS connecting flights to Hawaii/Canada/Mexico are allowed. No chart for USA-Europe (though in theory you could redeem SIN-USA or USA-SIN routing on SQ onestops involving Europe and get off the plane in FRA/MAN, pretty high price in miles though). Stopover in SIN not allowed on regional awards (Intra-Asia,including South Pacific) not touching US.
"North Asia" includes China (PEK/PVG) as per latest update by AS. South Pacific is Australia/New Zealand

Okay now the gullibles are gone, let me tell you it may or may not have F possibility if you can find it. It has something to do with the non-stopover allowed update, anywhere that the system updates as unable to allow a stopover in SIN has this kind of problem, so think anywhere outside SE asia and N.Asia.
Oops. That's not going to last given the chart has a completely different rate for some of those awards. Wouldn't count on being able to fly those tickets if you're not flying them NOW or very soon.

Do not worry, there is no F inventory in the entire world now till EOS, even though J is a good deal. I got one a bit later and only got one long haul F leg, so I am not holding my breath.

No, I mean "the tickets could get cancelled as a mistake fare". That's what I mean by "better fly those tickets now". It's not going to take AS very long to figure out what's going on.

I imagine the ticket might be repriced or cancelled on you. Pretty easy solution.

Cue the FTers who want to do a DOT complaint, though it didn't really work out well with UA and the cheap DK tickets...

Yeah I did not express myself clearly. I could not book one for tomorrow so I just did one for later, but I only got one long haul F leg so it would not be that much of a loss if it is just clawed back. It is taking spookily long to ticket though. But hey at least I got to click "book the cook" button the first time in my life!
It is funny how life works in mysterious ways. AS tries to subtly devalue by not allowing intra-asia stopovers, at the same time it creates ridiculous routings as long as it has no "stopovers", making it more valuable than ever.

This long no stopover thing has existed long before SQ. I personally tried to price EK/QF multiple times J/F, though I never book the trip as it is quite dumb unless you just enjoy flying.

what audit? It is allowed in their website. Is it member’s fault to book on website?

Yep, I flew the EK version DXB-GVA-DXB-YYZ in New & Old F for 150k. If you don't particularly enjoy flying then you can always use it as a cheap one way too.

this nice thing existed in EK/QF for years. It is nothing new here.

however, SQ is active in clamping down such thing, such as Intra-Southeast Asia, stopover at SIN.

Enjoy the fun stuff, no one is going to get audited for booking whatever they book. But AS can fix things like intra Asia stop-over pretty quick. I don't know why people.just can't keep their mouths shut and stop giving reason for AS to fix things like adding MPM or another plug. Though I think once Amadeus move, Easter eggs will go rotten.

It sickens me that AS can fix an issue that favors customers almost immediately and yet when the issue hurts customers either they deny there is an issue or they cannot fix it for months or years.

JL intra-Asia trick gone, too. It still worked yesterday despite SQ no longer works.

Seems AS put in a permant fix for all tricks? or all non-North America stopover on one-way award is gone.
