Alaska Airlines (AS) partnership with Singapore Airlines (SQ)

Earning

Beginning September 27, 2017.
For earning rates See Partner Page

Eligible flight numbers (No Silkair)

0001–0999

Burning:

Award Charts:
(see note below for definition of "Continental USA", "SE Asia" and "South Pacific" )
SE Asia-SE Asia: 17,500 Y, 25,000 J 35,000 F
North Asia-SE Asia: 22,500 Y 60,000 J, 75,000 F
SE Asia-Middle East/India 25,000 Y 65,000 J 85,000 F
SE Asia-South Pacific 30,000 Y 65,000 J 90,000 F
SE Asia-Europe 42,500 Y 110,00 J 160,000 F
North Asia-Europe 65,000 Y 175,000 J 240,000 F
Middle East-Europe 60,000 Y, 160,000 J 210,000 F
Continental USA-North Asia: 40,000 Y 80,000 J 110,000 F
Continental USA-SE Asia/India: 47,500 Y 100,000 J 130,000 F
Continental USA-South Pacific 70,000 Y 145,000 J 190,000 F

Note: Chart only allows contiguous US and Alaska as "USA", however, AS connecting flights to Hawaii/Canada/Mexico are allowed. No chart for USA-Europe (though in theory you could redeem SIN-USA or USA-SIN routing on SQ onestops involving Europe and get off the plane in FRA/MAN, pretty high price in miles though). Stopover in SIN not allowed on regional awards (Intra-Asia,including South Pacific) not touching US.
"North Asia" includes China (PEK/PVG) as per latest update by AS. South Pacific is Australia/New Zealand

Where are all the posters who were willing to bet their life that AS would never offer premium redemptions? Mea culpa....

Compared to what, recently? AA F is 110k to HKG, and, well, it's AA F (lol) and you'll only find it when AA releases award inventory by mistake. SQ F costs less than EK F...

I am happily surprised that SQ is actually allowing partner redemptions outside of *A for premium cabins. The crow I am eating is delicious.

Bad news: You can't do SIN-FRA-JFK and get a FRA stopover.

(If you could it would be a chunk of a decent "mini-RTW" in J/F. Combine with JL and you get some, um, interesting possibilities. But alas, no.)\

This is great news! I would much rather complain about getting an award that cost more than I wanted to pay than not getting an award because there was no availability. The fact that premium cabin awards are available to AS and not other partners is mind blowing. Kudo's Alaska!

Would love for it to be a little cheaper, but Its definitely not bad news. Nice to have some good news for once when it comes to partnerships

Is there a way to get to Europe with Singapore?

Well, shut my mouth, the chart's updated. Updating wiki...

Personally I'd redeem AY J instead for a lot less Asia-Europe.

SIN-DEL is 25K in J, KUL/CGK-DEL is 65K. So they're apparently pricing India as "Middle East" unless you originate in SIN.

BKK-HKG prices at 25k for J, including a SIN stopover, so it looks like (unlike CX) intra-Asia with a stopover will be allowed on SQ redemptions.

Also, some of the, uh, "features" of JL intra-Asia redemptions are available for SQ intra-Asia redemptions.

Hmmm. It's not on the award chart...

I appreciate the option, though!

Read the thread wiki.

Thanks for confirming what I thought “South Pacific” means for SQ awards.

I wonder which countries are India and South Asia. SIN-DEL/BOM/CMB/MLE all cost 65K for one-way J.

according to the award chart Business Class should be 25k and First 35k and NOT 65k
Guess they coded it wrongly

Also, it looks like IST and DXB are not working either :/

PEK/PVG are "South Asia". Also, China/Taiwan/Thailand/Malaysia/SIN/MNL/Indonesia-SYD is a redeemable award @ 90K in F (though I haven't been finding a lot of SIN-SYD in F), 65 K in J, 30 K in Y. However. Japan, ICN, India or Middle East-Australia is a no-go.

Cue Aussies buying more AS miles to go with their CX redemptions in 3, 2, 1...

ETA: there's married segment logic going on here.

See: SIN-JFK on 8/18/20, SIN-FRA on SQ 326 is available... but not if searched as SIN-FRA.

How come divorce isn't as prolific in the airline industry?

should SIN CMB/MLE really be 25k in J.
would anyone point that out to AS to fix it?

Paging missydarlin:

There's a good question as to whether MLE is in India or Middle East Zone though.

Of course, the ME is b0rked as mentioned- no DXB, no IST.

HKG SIN BOM is 65k too, so it is a clear mistake (as I assume BOM is in India)
