Award Charts:
(see note below for definition of "Continental USA", "SE Asia" and "South Pacific" )
SE Asia-SE Asia: 17,500 Y, 25,000 J 35,000 F
North Asia-SE Asia: 22,500 Y 60,000 J, 75,000 F
SE Asia-Middle East/India 25,000 Y 65,000 J 85,000 F
SE Asia-South Pacific 30,000 Y 65,000 J 90,000 F
SE Asia-Europe 42,500 Y 110,00 J 160,000 F
North Asia-Europe 65,000 Y 175,000 J 240,000 F
Middle East-Europe 60,000 Y, 160,000 J 210,000 F
Continental USA-North Asia: 40,000 Y 80,000 J 110,000 F
Continental USA-SE Asia/India: 47,500 Y 100,000 J 130,000 F
Continental USA-South Pacific 70,000 Y 145,000 J 190,000 F

Note: Chart only allows contiguous US and Alaska as "USA", however, AS connecting flights to Hawaii/Canada/Mexico are allowed. No chart for USA-Europe (though in theory you could redeem SIN-USA or USA-SIN routing on SQ onestops involving Europe and get off the plane in FRA/MAN, pretty high price in miles though). Stopover in SIN not allowed on regional awards (Intra-Asia,including South Pacific) not touching US.
"North Asia" includes China (PEK/PVG) as per latest update by AS. South Pacific is Australia/New Zealand

Even PEK is considered "SE Asia" I guess. PEK-SIN-CGK/BWN in SQ F for 35k is going to have some takers.

Pretty easy to find SQ F on PEK plus those two. Not so much on say BOM or SYD.

That's definitely a sweet spot in the SQ award charts. Can also do PEK/SIN/DPS, though SIN/DPS will be in J.

This is AMAZING news. Doesn't matter what the miles cost is, no one expected to even have a chance to book premium awards on SQ.

I have all H1 2020 flights booked, but I will be looking for J class redemption to SEA on Singapore H2 or 2021 for sure.
(and it's funny, I actually don't like the city of Singapore... but SFO-SIN in J award on way to Indonesia or Malaysia? YES PLEASE!)

While you can't have a NRT stopover, you can do a 15h 35m layover enroute to SIN from LAX. The B777 Flight arrives in NRT at 7:30 pm and you can connect to the 11:05 am A380 flight the next morning. I would still be inclined to fly EK the other way for 5K more.

While not reflected in the charts, Asia to AU/NZ awards on SQ are offered online; ie HKG/TPE-SIN-AKL. I see lots of availability in F with the SIN-AKL leg on the A380 for 90K, all J, 65K.

Interestingly, where CX & SQ are both options in the charts for non NA awards, the 72h booking restriction disclaimer is not mentioned for SQ redemptions.

Ah well, that is the risk we run... but I'd rather have accurate information. Wiki updated.

It's a 2-3 hour flight and the new regional J for SQ looks pretty sweet. I did SIN-DPS on SQ back when you could redeem 30k CO miles for a round trip in SE Asia that included a stopover + EK J in their OLD regional J (like recliners on their old 772s) and it was fine. You don't get Private Room access if you're in J outbound from SIN though. This listing of SQ F will help people find where you can nab it on an intra-regional route.

Anyone knows SQ frequencies on HKG flights with new F? That would be a real treat with flying onwards to PEK. Is it random or they send the new F to HKG on a regular basis?

Click the last link in the post of mine directly above yours.

It's kind of a huge detour though. Plus there's way way WAY less F availability HKG-SIN than J (J is easy peasy, F is hunt and peck for a unicorn). Doing a hunt for new or old R, huh?

Has anyone actually redeemed any SQ F flights? I see plenty of days with SIN-PEK and vice versa open but get the dreaded unable to confirm space message after entering all billing info. Just wondering if it's all phantom inventory or if some are actually real.

I guess SQ will very soon remove the backtracking redemption such as HKG-SIN-PVG/PEK.

SQ themselves does not allow many backtracking route. Only certain routes are allowed. So it make no sense for them to allow AS to do so.

You obviously haven’t spent much time booking AS awards.

JL J DEL-NRT-HKG has been bookable on AS as a one-way for ages. I booked MEX-DFW-SEA-LAX-PHX on AA/AS. I’ve booked BKK-HKG-LAX-SEA-KOA on CX/AS.
