They really should feel ashamed to serve such a messy looking plate. Even primary school canteens try to make it less ugly.

Respectfully disagree. I like the presentation. It's got good color contrasts. How was the taste though?

This was also served on my afternoon GVA-CDG meal a couple of days ago. Full drinks service including champagne on an A220.

It was actually better than the unidentified and inedible substances they were serving in the CDG lounge.

I agree - I am becoming a bit annoyed at the CDG lounges at the moment. Under the pretext that they are serving great chefs-designed dishes, everything seems to be turning into unidentifiable and unappealing gloop. You read the descriptions (potatoes and chestnuts, confit beef cheek etc) and it all sounds nice but the reality of the dishes bears little resemblance with how they read except the desserts and cheese which are ok. I've had a few nice reds in recent weeks though (a nice Pomerol, a St Emilion grand cru, etc).

Looks like you had an encounter with their latest « fish and leek » creation?

How they can make this combination so bland is beyond understanding.
The chef must have a beef with vegetarians.

Don't remember what it was described as but suffice to say it looked similar to how it would look a couple of hours after ingesting it.

Semi-related to this topic, but since no topic is entirely dedicated to food in that other cabin;

Is metal cutlery back in Premium ?

I just read a flight report (click here to see it) where the member was given metal cutlery.

Picture is in the middle of the report.

You still deserve an answer: Yes, since a while it is metal cutlery again.

Really enjoyed this one. Nice and flavorful.

Fall-flavored poached egg, butternut squash purée, mushrooms and hazelnuts.

CDG-VIE

Buckwheat pancake with chicken. I really enjoyed this dish - would work great too for a long-haul breakfast.

OTP-CDG

Smoked salmon with conchigliette pasta, creamy cauliflower sauce, mushroom and truffle paste, plus a pear tartlet. Solid - good dessert, but that's an area Air France generally does well IMO.
