The food service of 29 March enroute CDG - CMN on AF1496. It was ok and healthy, but ice cold. Room temperature would be more delicious. Dessert was perfect.

AF 1194 / CDG-LIS / Last week.

It was ok, but a hot dish would have been more enjoyable.

You should express your opinion to AF and give your feedback to them. At the moment they arent planning to change course. Cold meals are here to stay apparently unless there is a massive backlash.

Hot dishes are too much work for European flight attendants on short flights.

Never mind in Asia, some airlines give both Y and J passengers get a hot meal on flights just over an hour.

Actually AFKL in the unique legacy airline in EU which does not serve hot meal in business class on the longest medium hauls

not true. It is only AF & KL. AZ and BA serve hot meals on shorter flights with all other airlines serving hot meals on longer flights and sometimes with more than
one choice. AF/KL are just lazy and aweful in Business Class Europe.

Does AF have choices in Business on longer European flights CDG IST? I’m a pescaterian and don’t eat any meat. Should I o preorder a vegetarian lacto ovo or hope they will have a veg or seafood option?

Well, I promised Id update on the domestic box and would have but there was none on my nce-cdg, just the same old snack as before the change. Flight was operated by hop (but I thought it shouldnt affect catering offer as its exactly the same on European flights as mainline?) complete with no free seat so frankly a very poor show by af. Not happy.

I would say its +/- the sandwiches and sweetness you can find on AF lounges .

so all in all an improvement vs. what was offered up to now on J domestic routes

I had a last minute one-way trip to Geneva in Y, and I respectfully declined the upgrade proposal.
On the way back, I took the Lyria in Business 1ere. Let's just say that I find what AF provides on
medium-haul flights to be more enjoyable than what SNCF provides.

Luckily, the BOB menu on Lyria offers an enhanced selection compared to the standard TGV
menu, so I promptly ordered a BOCO type menu with codfish & steamed vegetables in a coco
curry sauce. far better than the Business 1re snack. I should have kept the metal cutlery from
the snack, though, as the BOCO came with wood cutlery.

It's amazing how long AF keeps the same menus on the plates. Over the last 12 months I flew Turkish Airlines 8 times NUE-IST-XXX-IST-NUE and on the NUE-IST and IST-NUE sectors there was a new menu every time I flew. Of course it's all Turkish style cuisine but the selection on offer was different for each flight. Food didn't get boring. And there is a choice of 3 hot main items.

why can't AF and KL bring more variety to their catering? The teriyaky noodles with tempeh on KL I got two weeks ago was served as well over a year ago. Having to fly them regularily makes the food offering so boring.
