So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

Folks it seems yet again a thread has managed to wander off topic to more general upgrade discussion but as was asked in the OP let's just stick to the facts of the route and post what the LMU was and if accepted or declined.

OLCI @ 23:59, from Tango:

YVR-YYZ - AC156, 77W - $799, declined
YYZ-LGA - AC702, E90 - $163, declined

Considerably less than I expected to see from the redeye.

Thanks for the data point.

Adding the $799 to a current Tango fare of $336 on this flight, it's not bad considering lowest J is at $2221, Buy today and GTY in J or play the game and (possibly) pay 1/2 price. Hmmm.

YYC YYZ tomorrow. $519, more reasonable, but declined.

Interesting to see the fluctuation on the same route. Are they charging more due to the marginally-higher flight time, since we're flying into the wind?

April 1 YYZ-HKG: something ludicrous like $1500, when the J cabin was 2/3 empty. Declined with a hollow laugh (psst AC: if I were inclined to spend that much money, I would have just bought a J ticket outright and gotten more miles out of it and guaranteed meals).
