So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.
It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.
Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

SE typically end up wait list at gate. Occasionally they clear a day or two before.

All I can say is I'm 0-fer. Zero... Nada.... bagel....
As an E50k, I don't even consider eUps as a perk to the status level. I've only been able to clear on obscure, low yield routes. FLL, GCM, etc.

Not the same flights. So I don't have a direct comparison. She has clears Hkg YYZ and YVR nrt in the past 60 Days. Yea I think it's unusual because these are usually busy routes. But at 750$ a pop AC would prefer taking eUPs from E50s than SEs.

Unless someone decided to ask every person in a J seat on every flight if they were paid J, eUp SE, co-pay E or a LMU, then there might be a more accurate answer.
If AC announced that SEs do not have a co-pay, but the Es do, and if some FFs of various status levels were to notice a pattern that those with co-pays are getting the Upgrades, I'm sure there would be some seriously unhappy campers.
The question would then be: Why would AC bother making this decision in the first place.

Because it would maximize SHORT term profit and AC has its head so far up its....*** that LTV means nothing to them. Typical corporation.

I'm not sure the 31 787s, 2 77Ws and 61 737s on order are because AC can't see past its nose/current year financials. But don't let that stop the bashing, that's cool to do.

Why are LMUs from X cheaper than LMUs from Tango and Flex? Makes no sense to me.

YYZ-YYC on an E90
Traveling on AE ticket (so X), offered at $719 each.
Which is insane on an E90. I kind of understand $749 on a redeye with a pod like I got offered a few weeks ago, but $719 for a lounge seat? Nuts.
Used to always be $349

YVR-YYZ on AC 156, 77W HD
Tango Fare (A), Offered at 699+Taxes at T-15
Nah, already paid 60 for Row 12, that's fine for me.
If it was priced at 400, I might have thought about it, but with the horror stories of the HD, I don't know

AC849 on March 29 (LHR-YYZ).
Family member was offered and declined the upgrade to J for £849 (approximately $1600 CAD). She had a Flex fare ticket.
When we did online checking, EF reported about a dozen empty seats empty in Y, and J fare buckets had about 2-3 seats unsold.

If J has lots of space, they seem to often be in the $400-500 range these days for YYC-YYZ in my experience.
