I have a J booking.

SFO-YYZ-SFO.

1. I am being offered a bid upgrade.
Can someone please explain what AC F is like?

2. 25% off preferred seats.
My status, which is VERY clearly on the booking, entitles me to 100% off.

AC F is very rare and usually only applies to unicorns.
The mythical animals, not the magical companies.

Seriously, all of my recent J fares have offered me the option of a last minute upgrade. I wonder what would happen if I actually took them up on the offer, but I suspect they would take my money either way.

OMG, it's like totally AWESOME AF!!! The wine is free! Like, it's not even like a loonie bar or anything, it's just FREE! And, you get like warm nuts and stuff, and like a real meal with plates and metal forks and stuff! It's way better than, like, getting a sandwich before you get on the plane, lolz because you know sometimes your sandwich gets like cold or squished or whatever and you're just like . So #firstclass all the way! You totally HAVE to check out my Instagram for all my #firstclass selfies!!! Byeee!

Your meal order is taken first and you get Kit Kat priority. Coke Zero is guaranteed. What was the lowest you could bid for this awesome opportunity?

Where is this 25% off thing? I've never seen that offered before, it just seems to drop the price automatically when I buy one domestically.

Clearly something is amiss as if you take the second flight somehow 11 hours of your life disappears (a bit like flying AC Y in fact) based on arrival time. Perhaps you get it back on return.

I would like to use my Aeroplan points to book a flight. But of course it's after 10PM here in the Mountain time zone, so why would I be able to do that? .... you, Aeroplan.

Aeroplan error message - does not make sense!

Booked Air Canada revenue tickets for my wife and myself.

Wanted to book parallel Aeroplan award ticket for my daughter on the Aeroplan web site.

Wanted to book YOW-YVR - overnight stopover
Then YVR-LAS the next morning.
Then LAS-YYZ-YOW a week later.

So I got an error message (repeatedly) trying to book this on 3 separate computers, using 4 different operating systems.

So I called the Aeroplan agent.

She said that the Aeroplan computer considers the YOW-YVR and YVR-LAS flights as 2 sequential non-connecting flights - as the 2nd flight leaves more than 12 hours after the first flight arrival (by a grand total of 1 minute; ie total overnight stay is 12h01min!) - even thought second flight is the first available flight after arrival to LAS.

But the error message means that the proposed ''multi-city'' itinerary is not valid.

So I called what I thought was the Aeroplan.com web site phone number - but got the agent at the regular Aeroplan phone number. She was able to make the booking; I did not have to pay a telephone booking fee!

What I got out of this - the Aeroplan computer did not accept the YOW-YVR and then YVR-LAS as either as connecting flights nor as 2 separate non-connecting flights. The agent's computer accepted my itinerary as a multi-city itinerary; but not as a return (incoming, outgoing) LAS itinerary. So I could not have booked the YOW-YVR and then the YVR-LAS flights as a one-way connecting flights - because of that 1 minutes - even though AC allowed such a booking for a revenue ticket (for the AC booking, I actually did 2 separate bookings - on a latitude flight pass)!
