So glad they limit access to the lounge to preserve the ambience, level of service and quality of food.

Not to say that the entrance eligibility criteria won't be tweaked over time, but crowd levels, exclusivity and ambience is what top tier fliers have been asking for, and finally they have it.

Have spoken to many Customers about their SS Experience, and by all accounts, the word "sensational" has been repeatedly used.

It's amazing what the context of an airport or airplane does to people's perceptions.

A few tidbits:
  1. AC is notifying all paid Business passengers departing from Toronto about the SS. A few days prior to my flight I received an email from Air Canada with an invitation to the signature suite Prior to my flight. I can imagine that the lounge will be heavily used once people are aware.
  2. Because I was taking a midmorning flight, the dining room had not yet open. Not a lot of people knew about the sit down lunch, dinner option. It was not announced in the lounge. I could see most if not all the people were eating from the buffet. I can see that during dinner time, the dining room will be full of people.
  3. They do need more casual seating area, especially for people who want to get some work done. Most people were sitting in the dining room to do work or spread out in the tight sofa configuration.

No they are not. You are certainly not "all paid Business passengers".

I have never been notified. No one else has posted in this thread about being notified.

It's clearly not "all".

Myself and MrsITAG recently visited the lounge after an overseas flight. We are both SE. Neither of us got 'notified' by email.

Thanks for sharing the email, and for posting the food photos earlier.

How soon before your flight did you receive the invite?

I'm booked on an eligible flight this Thursday and have yet to receive the email.

I'm thinking your correct. In the beginning, not all eligible Guests seemed to be in the know. As of late however......^
