Just got the invite email to Discover the AC Signature Suite. Our connection time is about 90 minutes. Is that enough time to visit and enjoy the suite?

Maybe for a drink or two. You may get a BMW escort to the lounge

Thanks for the information. The BMW escort would be an added bonus, I knew about it but wasn't sure if they had started the service yet. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I’m at the lounge now - I’m really quite impressed! It’s miles above the MLL. The a la cartel menu is great - sablefish is delicious. They also have Moët Rose champagne. This is better than the BA First lounge at Yyz (though to be fair BA has outsourced to a

priority pass lounge which is dismal).

How does the menu and service compare to the Aeroplan restaurant?

New Air Canada Lounge Has The World's Best Business Class Dining Experience - One Mile at a Time

I briefly (around breakfast time) experiences the LH F lounge - I believe in terminal B at Frankfurt airport.
How does this AC lounge compare with that LH lounge?

Maybe in the future - some reciprocal privileges between AC and LH - so some AC customers under special circumstances may be get access to LH F lounges?

I would have never even knew the signature lounge existed without having read this thread. First time on AC, and am really enjoying this experience. Gave myself a long layover in YYZ and having dinner. The garden pea falafel is better than I thought. Wonderful friendly staff and a fun bar. Plan to sleep like a baby all the way to Frankfurt later tonight. An excellent experience.

Visited May 24 at noon, flew out on AC1. Pardon the low quality mobile phone images.

I haven't flown AC in many years as I've thrown all my transpacific business to CX and BR (way better in all regards IMO) however was intrigued by AC's new premium push (plus amazing P fare ) to try it out again.

Signature Suite is a nice looking lounge (hate the name), rather dark inside. The only apron view is in the hallway to the washrooms. As mentioned earlier - the main function of this lounge appears to serve as a "Dining Room" for Signature Class Pax, there is minimal seating for work or lounging, also no showers or business centre. Service staff is eager and friendly. Not AC employees?

That said the food is good, about as close to "restaurant" quality that Air Canada will get, therefore a HUGE step up from the terrible food served onboard AC transpacific flights (the Hawksworth affiliation is putting "lipstick on a pig" IMHO). The vegan chocolate cake was my favourite item followed by the soup, the falafel meh.
I took some photos of the food and current menu.

At noon with HND, ICN and PEK flights, the lounge was hopping, not full but busy, hard to take photos but enough seats. I can see this being packed in early evening therefore I 100% agree that admission should be limited to fare paying Business Class customers, otherwise seating and service time is compromised, not to mention the peace and quiet. Lounge at noon was all business travellers and no families or kids. Love that

NOTES on the Inflight Experience: I do not find the "Signature Class" service much of an upgrade, garlic bread (woo hoo!) and a thin, useless mattress pad are negligible upgrades I think. The hard product is still good, not great, the person who designed that seat table that doesn't store away, therefore in the way of ones knees, should be shot.

Seat 7A is my favourite seat on the 77W. It appears to be the most private seat on the aircraft, and the quietest (the F/A's all gather to gossip in the forward galley, the door 2 galley was totally empty and quiet the entire flight, minus service times. Also seems that all the pax in the forward cabin J always used forward lavatory, the 2 Door 2 lavs were mostly unused and clean all flight long. Only minus of 7A is 1 window.

Thanks for the pics and SSL experience!

As for service staff employees in AC lounges, they are all contract staff/procured third-party services.

Signature Suite - May 2018

Recently, I was in the Signature Suite for breakfast 3 times in 2 weeks. This is the series of photos taken over the 3 different visits. Suite photos were taken between 06:30-07:30, generally prior to when most guests arrived.

I find the service is impeccable. A few of the staff really stood out for me and I wrote compliment cards. They are available from the manager of the Suite and yes, it is run by Compass.

I really like this wall in the entrance-way

Compared to my February visit where it was still rather dark, at this time of year, the sun is up and the light really gives the Suite a nice look as seen in the series of photos below.

This was the first time I noticed the private dining room.

And then I saw the sunlight reflecting on the glass wall

This is gorgeous.

Back to the food offerings.....

Yummmmm

Part of the buffet area

Excellent omelette. I chose veggies with 2 different cheeses.

I love the presentation. Tea was excellent as well.

I finally got to see the iPad in action.

And on another visit.....

Cold cereals and toppings for the cereals and the oatmeal. Very nice selection.

The barista offered a treat. I accepted. I loved this

Just fabulous.

I decided on scramble eggs this time. Perfect breakfast as well.

I really like the design of this hallway in the back.

Great scent. Love it.

I think you missed your calling as a photographer for Gourmet Magazine. The "Hello Kitty" Cappuccino - pretty impressive!

Had dinner there last night before my 14.5 hour flight that departed after 9pm. Food was awesome and it allowed me to bypass dinner onboard to sleep. Staff were great.

It was quite a busy place, though. I wonder if pressure on the Int'l MLL is way down.

I love Molton Brown. IIRC, Buckingham Palace still procures and uses them. I always make a pitstop at the flagship store whenever I'm in downtown London.

For the breakfast, did you try the sausage? Was it juicy and tasty, or bland and soggy?
