How to find out what the meal service will be for a specific Alaska Air flight:
1) On the website, use the "Explore" tab and select "Flight Schedules" from the left-hand side of the drop-down menu.

2) Plug in your city-pair and your week of travel, and the site will pull up all of the Alaska Air flights for that week.

3) Find your flight number on the list. From there you can see what's offered for the meal service. There are two columns corresponding to first class and coach.
A) In first class the codes are (B-breakfast; L-lunch; D-dinner; S-snack).

B) For coach the section may be blank (meaning beverage service and for-purchase cold snack-packs). Or it may show "F" or "F,F" to indicate there are other items for purchase on longer routes like a cheese plate, or in some cases the Beecher's breakfast sandwich or one of the Tom Douglas items.

What *specifically* is offered in first class for B, L, D, or S is the source of much discussion in this thread.
Sometimes a S (snack) will seem more substantial than what's offered as L (lunch). That's where searching this thread can be of assistance.

As near as I can tell for the coach section:
Blank = snack packs only;
"F" = snack packs and cheese plates offered;
"F,F" = snack packs, cheese plate, plus one other item on offer.
Please feel free to edit if that assumption is not correct.

For anyone desiring a more structured or organized submission, here is a template (You'll need to add a / before the last bracketed B as in [/b]):

PHX-SEA 12 Seat F : Breakfast 6:00 am departure,

PDB - Dasani Water & Cookies at seat upon boarding, choice of Orange Juice or Coffee.

Breakfast, two options, Quiche or Quiche or I suppose three options if you wanted to decline, lol

It was infact NOT a quiche, but rather a broccoli frittata, served with a roasted 1/2 tomato and two sausage links. It was delicious! The fritata was moist and fluffy and the broccoli still had a little crunch to it.

One the side was fresh fruit consisting of strawberries, 3 slices of orange, 3 slices of watermelon and a chunck of pineapple. The fruit was ripe and flavourful.

I am a fan of the steal cut oats. I was seated in 3A and figured I would get that as my only option with 67% of the F seats ahead of me. As it turned out, no steel cut oat option today.

Today's meal was good and more satisfying than the twice murdered bacon wrapped tenderloin I pre ordered for my DFW-MAD flight in J on AA. At least the poor meal was commensurate with their service to maintain consistency.

This one should be catered like other midcon routes. See menus/descriptions for SEA-IND and vice versa in posts 602 and 626 upthread.
Thanks for the input. Apparently AS's website is just acting like DeltaDumb.com and trying to confuse folks. I'll probably just go ahead and grab a light bite in the terminal like I usually do when riding back in steerage.

Smart move. Note on the return (as with all lunch and dinner midcon flights) there will be a single selection. I believe midcon breakfasts offer a choice.

PDB: Water bottles
Breakfast announced before taxi
Breakfast: Breakfast burrito/wrap. It had eggs, cheese, mystery meat and some kind of green pepper, maybe a poblano, all wrapped up in a red tortilla. It was definitely tasty but I couldn't place the meat at all. It could have been the "turkey pastrami" that has showed up in the past. Served with a side of fruit. Had great service the whole way.

Breakfast

Pre-departure coffee and orange juice were on offer, besides the mini bottles of Dasani. After takeoff I indulged in a mimosa followed by black coffee. The Biscoff packages seem to be getting smaller and smaller

"Broccoli Frittata" or "Yogurt and Granola" were the choices. The frittata was quite nice, if a bit small. It was served with two chicken sausages and a broiled tomato half, plus a fruit bowl with watermelon, strawberries, oranges and pineapple. Something bready on the side would have been nice but I waited in vain. Nice service by the young crew.

Dinner aka Snack

Alaska calls this a snack but it is really dinner. No choice, but the "Serrano Beef" was tasty. Similar to what I'd call Barbacoa, it was not spicy but the meat was very tender. It was served with a corn/black bean/red pepper/onion mix and two warmed tortillas. A side salad with shredded carrots and cherry tomatoes and Creamy Italian dressing was on the side, along with a Cougar Mountain oatmeal raisin cookie.

After dinner I tried a drink listed in the inflight magazine, the "Oregon Bulldog." Crater Lake hazelnut espresso vodka, Coca-Cola and half and half. Sounds vile but it went down pretty easy. Tasted sort of like a Coke float. Never mind how it looks, which is disgusting! The crew was great; the flight attendant serving F, Penny, was a delight. Really funny and engaging.

20 Aug SFO/PDX - Tarragon Egg salad with matzo. Well, I mean croissant, which was smashed. Made a sandwich out of it. Tasty. Fruit bowl on the side.

21 Aug PDX/SFO - 3 little slices of salami, with a side of tomato, cheese and basil and a roll. I made a salami, tomato, cheese and basil sandwich. Bit of chocolate on the side. Tasty enough but it was so petite. FA was embarrassed this was the quantity of the snack.

@Eastbay1K Would you provide the time of day or the flight numbers for those two flights, please? Thank you.
