Nothing hot. I got a nice child salami + cheese plate sometime late last year, it was one of the better things I've eaten in a plane. But depends on time of day and equipment. Don't be think they do anything on CRAs.

I never expect or rely on any good on YYC<>YVR.

Really? I did a CRA YYC-YVR around lunchtime in December and don't remember any food. Although it's possible I turned it down.

Random - Boy it's been a while since I've flown. Didn't know they had this kind of view on the screens now.

Actually, the 11pm 156 is omelette, omelette, or omelette.

The earlier 156's are dinner.

I found this out when I asked a similar question not too long ago.

It's actually called Ozone (O3)

Omelette, omelette, or omelette.

The fact that they even printed menus for this... waste of paper.

Right, and now we all need to start remembering the new flight numbers, with or without those omelette things.

Yeah I noticed those too lol.

The new 3xx numbers threw me for a loop too.

Someone posted the renumbering details in another thread... forgot who it was, but was useful.

Have to say that I did enjoy the lamb yesterday--for airplane food pretty good. Don't like polenta no matter how good it is so the current presentation with polenta gives me an excuse not to overeat

Also had veal stew which was tasty two days ago. Since my wife makes the best stew in the world, nothing compares

I like that they are trying some different things and putting some "weird" spices in at least a few of the dishes.

New (for me at least) niçoise salade that reminded me of the Hawksworth Intl appetizer from July, minus the trout. I have to say I'm happy to see some new appetizers in NA J, seems like for a while they never changed the old salad.

Had the lamb, which was surprisingly good. But not so inspiring presentation, and I still prefer this dish with couscous, like I had sometime back in 2015.

Thumbs up Upgraded meals on LAX-YYZ flight 792

Looks like they upgraded the business class meals on the B789 Aircraft service LAX-YYZ

Four entrees:
1) Beef
2) Salmon
3) Pasta
4) chicken

And eat at anytime

All for a 3.5 hour flight

Nice

Thanks, you're right it is a cold snack.

Has anyone been served a "hot" snack on a short route and what that would even be?

Not recently, but a while back the short-haul hot snack in J was something along the lines of a chicken skewer with couscous, a (small) chicken pot pie; there may have been 1-2 others, but I can't remember.

Short-haul cold snacks included salmon + potato salad, cheese plate, antpasti plate etc.
