However, I have had enough experience where apps get accidentally exposed because someone didn't set up the "publish" date correctly on these app stores.....

Ah US IT, at least you're consistent in your missteps. Congrats on logging into the iTunes/Play store for the first time. You'll get the hang of it in a few years.

Downloaded it from iTunes Sunday. Registered to have the boarding passes go to the boarding pass wallet. Actually did it twice because I had to register again when I downloaded it to my iPad.
Nothing happened when I checked-in for my flights today. Maybe still some bugs with it or how I am using it. Will try again for next flights.

The App Store just prompted me to upgrade the app to version 1.1, which claims to have "fixed a bug that affected the boarding pass wallet for some users".
Despite this, the app is still absent from search results.

Same here. It then made me re-register for the boarding pass wallet. Maybe it will work when I fly again on Friday.

After updating the app I had to reregister. When I checked in the boarding passes went into the boarding pass wallet. Unfortunately, you have to reregister for each device that has the app.

Seems silly to do this now. Given the merger they could have just rolled this into AA's app which is quite good.
